S: Jon & Shawna's Honeymoon in Antigua
FC: June 20-27, 2011 | Our Honeymoon | Antigua
Destination: Antigua | The trip of a lifetime!!! | We've waited so long for this moment.
 Our tropical paradise awaits!
Antiqua at last! After a beautiful wedding, catching a 6:15 am flight and 9 hours of traveling we are finally here.... | 8 Days and 7 Nights of PARADISE!!!
 Antigua Sandals All-Inclusive Resort
Wow! This resort was a honeymoon dream come true. Absolutely the most perfect place! It's beautiful, romantic and lots of fun. All-inclusive resorts are the way to go. So all we had to do was sit back, relax and enjoy each other and the beauty this place had to offer. My sweetie chose well!!
 The Honeymoon Suite
Shortly after arriving to our room, it came a nice little shower. It was neat to see the clouds roll in and the rain come down over the island. The rain didn't last long. It was the only time it rained all week. The weather was so beautiful all week. It couldn't have been more perfect!
Our first evening in Antigua was amazing. The sun setting over the Carribean was so beautiful. The ocean looked as if someone had sprinkled it with glitter. We had our first dinner at Mario's, a very nice Italian restaurant.
 Paradise . . . . | is always where love dwells.
The view from our balcony was absolutely breathe taking. It was so relaxing to sit outside and listen to the sounds of the sea, which is what Jonathan did most of the mornings.
The room service was for the birds....literally. Our breakfast was placed out on the balcony table and Jon came in long enough to tell me it was there and the birds found it and helped themselves to it immediately. They came to visit every time we ate out there. They would even eat crackers from our hand. | Our flying friends
capital city of Antigua | St. John's
On our first morning we took a taxi into St. John's. Jon had forgotten his sunglasses in the car back home. We found some nice Maui Jim's at the Sunglass Hut there. The town was nice just a little busy since a cruise ship had docked for the day. St. john's is a safe city according to the locals.
Our first day enjoying the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean.
 There is nothing more romantic,
then a candlelight dinner on the beach
After a very romantic candlelight dinner on the beach, we came back to a surprise waiting for us in our suite. Our butler left a hot bubble bath with candles, flower petals and champagne. It set the perfect mood for...
 SLEEP!!! I Love You Babe!
Mario's, an Italian restaurant, quickly became our favorite place to eat breakfast. We ate there almost every morning because of their wonderful breakfast buffet.
The flowers and plants were gorgeous, and they were everywhere. I loved taking pictures of them all. The hibiscus, above, is Antigua's national flower. We bought Shelby and Kendall a charm with a hibiscus on it for their charm bracelets we gave them for our wedding.
Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you was beyond my control.
 Antigua Sunsets
Almost all the restaurants in our resort were outdoor. It was so nice and relaxing to get to enjoy the sunset while enjoying a wonderful meal.
