We feel honored and deeply grateful that you have chosen to read our profile. You are and have been in our thoughts and prayers as you make this journey. May God bless you and the precious life you are caring for. Our names are James and Allison and we are ecstatic to be on this path towards growing our family. As we write this letter, we want to tell you everything we can about ourselves and want to know all about you as well. Please know that we are a loving, happy, committed couple that will share with our child the strength, love and grace of his or her birthmother. God has a special plan for you, for your child, and for us. It is with great anticipation that we wait for God to reveal His wondrous plan! While we will never understand the tough decision that weighs heavy on your heart, we do know that you are an amazing person. Your courage is an inspiration to us! Again, thank you for taking time to find out who we are. Hopefully you will see our loving, family-based, faith-filled, sometimes silly life expressed through our pictures and words. We look forward to meeting and growing together as a family! | With warm greetings, | From our hearts to yours, James and Allison
Our adoption journey began before we ever started trying to build a family. Allison had always felt the longing to adopt. After a few failed fertility attempts we came to the conclusion that our initial longing was God's way of showing us a piece of His plan. We were blessed by adoption to bring home our daughter Ella in March of 2011. It has been a truly amazing journey and here we are today, ready to grow our family through adoption once more.
We met at a friend's barbeque and developed a fantastic friendship right away. After five years of dating, we were married on July 24, 2004 surrounded by our friends and family.
I was instantly drawn to James from the beginning. He was fun to be around, a great listener, kind, and of course good looking! As we started to spend more time together I knew that James was "the one." He is compassionate and caring and shows me everyday how much he loves being a husband and father. Often he will sneak a sweet note in my lunch bag or leave a sticky-note around the house, always ending with his signature, "Love you always and forever." I always knew James would be a great father but he has exceeded all of my expectations. I love watching him play hide-and-seek, romp through the house with Ella on his shoulders, and read to her. He adores Ella and she adores him back just the same! James has an incredible passion for his job. He thoroughly enjoys working as a high school printing and graphic arts teacher. Knowing how important it is to keep learning, James is working towards his Master's Degree; he is one class away. James is also very passionate about his hobbies. He likes almost anything outdoors and over the years has introduced me to many activities that I might not have tried before such as backpacking and cycling. James enjoys life whether he is playing with Ella, going for a run, spending time with family, or just relaxing around a campfire. | About James (from Allison)
About Allison (from James) | Allison has been my wife for the past eight years and my best friend for the last twelve. She is smart, beautiful, led by faith, and innocently sweet. Her smile says more than words ever could. There is nothing in the world I enjoy more than watching her be a mom to Ella! I am always amazed how being a parent comes so naturally to Allison. Without a doubt, Allison puts her whole heart into being a mother. I love watching her read books, sing songs and dance with Ella. Allison teaches kindergarten at an elementary school close to our home and finished her Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 2011. I always knew Allison would be an exceptional teacher because she truly enjoys being around children. Allison likes to be active and enjoys the outdoors. Some of her favorite activities include camping, biking, going for walks, family picnics, running, and playing outside with Ella. She also loves spending time with family and friends, baking, making things for Ella, snuggling up with a good book, and most importantly, striving to put God first in our lives.
The world welcomed Ella in December of 2010 and we were blessed to bring her home that next March through the amazing gift of adoption. Ella is an outgoing, entertaining, smart, and loving two year-old. She is an active little girl who enjoys staying busy. Some of her favorite things to do are ride her tricycle, play dress-up, create art projects, look at books, spend time with her cousins, and be a "mommy" to her dolls. We know Ella is going to be a great big sister because she loves helping adults with any task that involves a baby! Thankfully our jobs as teachers allows us to spend much time with Ella. When we are at work, she enjoys her days playing with a few other children the same age at a home daycare. We are grateful for the love and care she receives everyday! Our adoption journey with Ella has been wonderful and we look forward to making this journey again. | About Ella
Meet our dog, SYDNEY | We have a six year-old dog named Sydney that is also a part of our family. She is a cross-breed of a Cocker Spaniel and a Bichon Frise. Ella just adores "her Sydney."
Our faith is the foundation of our marriage. We strive to always allow the Father to guide our daily walk of faith. Attending church, along with participating in various church activities allows us to grow spiritually. We also make our home a place where God is present always. It is important to us that we keep a daily routine of family devotions with Ella and also a couple's devotion with the two of us before bed. We have enjoyed teaching Ella about God's love and all His works! | Chaperones at a Catholic youth retreat. | Ella's baptism | Our Faith

My dad and step-mom have been married for seventeen years. They spend most of the year at their home in Florida, while the remaining three months are spent in our hometown just over an hour from our house. Because Allison and I are both teachers, it allows us to visit them in Florida during our spring break. Ella has a blast swimming in their pool. My mom is a retired elementary school teacher. She continues to live in the town that Allison and I grew up in so she is just a short drive away. We often have get-togethers with my mom and Allison's parents. My brother and I have a very close relationship. He also lives in our hometown with his wife and ten year-old son. We love spending time with them and our nephew is very excited to get another cousin! I feel very lucky to have such a loving and supportive family. Watching them with Ella makes me even more excited for a new baby! | James' thoughts on his family...

Allison's thoughts on her family... | I grew up in a tight-knit family that has always been supportive, compassionate, and loving. Most importantly, they taught me to value my faith, myself and family. My parents are happily married and just celebrated thirty-four years of marriage this year. James and I look to them as an example of a committed, loving couple. I am the youngest of three children and we are all close in age. We have a strong sibling bond that resembles more of a close friendship. My brother and sister-in-law have two children; their son is only five days older than Ella and their daughter is a year old. We love that Ella has two cousins similar in age who are always ready playmates. My sister is truly my best friend and we enjoy the typical sisterly activities. She adores being Ella's "auntie" and is excited for another niece or nephew. My family lives on the lakeshore in the town where James and I grew up, which is just over an hour drive from us. I have grandparents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A family gathering can include over forty people! Everyone is ecstatic that we are growing our family through adoption again!
In 2010 we had our home built in a family-friendly subdivision. We were immediately drawn to our neighborhood because of the young families and sense of community. When it is nice outside we enjoy relaxing with the neighbors while our girls play together. We have already made several friends and are excited for Ella to have close playmates! Our house sits on a corner lot and backs up to undeveloped land with trails for walking. We have a ranch style home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main floor. Our daylight basement will eventually have a fourth bedroom and family room. We look forward to hearing more pitter-patter of little feet! | Where We Live
