Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. | Love never fails | 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

 Our Engagement

 August 27, 2010

 Sweet Surprise

The Proposal | Odie who I like to call affectionately "Odilon", my "Spartan" or my "Pitbull" proposed to me by taking me to Lover's Beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on August 27, 2010. His proposal holds a significant importance of symbolism to our LOVE. This amazing man who is my best friend took me on a water adventure to the very tip of the Baja peninsula. The only place in the world where the passionate Sea of Cortez (Odie) meets the mighty majestic Pacific Ocean (Jenn) and together defies the odds and fall in love. Everything came full circle for us on this one glorious blessed day! | We are Engaged!

The happiest | 08.27.10 | Our Hotel Lobby | Blue Ocean Restaurant

day of my Life... | Marina District | Marina District

Waking up to the invigorating smell and the crashing waves of the ocean to get our day started for 5 days was therapy at its finest! I did not realize what amazing surprise ~Friday, August 27, 2010~ holds for us. My love had mentioned the day before that he will be taking me to Lover's Beach. I was of course very excited and looked forward to a fun-filled day of adventure! I had no idea what he was up to since he looked very calm and peaceful that day. From our resort Pueblo Pacifica we took the shuttle and had to make a stop to two other sister resorts. Our first stop was at Pueblo Sunset and then we took another shuttle to Pueblo Bonita. By this time our tummies started to growl.

We stopped to eat lunch at a quaint little restaurant called Blue Ocean. I had the most scrumptious pan seared sea bass with mango sauce and Odie had delicious shrimp fajitas. Now with full tummies we were ready to continue our journey and walked about 6 blocks to downtown Cabo San Lucas Marina district. On our way there we met a very sweet and kind lady named Mariana who made arrangement for us with a water taxi to get us to Lover's Beach. We were blessed with an excellent navigator named Fernando who made the boat ride fun and safe despite of the challenging waves. After all this hard work, we are off to our voyage heading to our destination. Yippee!!! | On to our Journey...

During our boat ride we passed by Mexican Beach where the locals like to hang out. Followed by Turtle Rock and then Pelican Rock.

We were joined by a wonderful Mexican family from Mexico City who had no idea that a proposal is about to unfold on our voyage to Lover's Beach. I was as usual busy snapping pictures that I did not catch on. Odie asked for me to come next to him because he wanted to take some pictures. He had then asked the Mom to video tape us with his iphone.

Which of course at the time she had no idea as she willingly participated to his request. Then he got down on his hands and knees with Lover's Beach at our background at the tip of a very rocky boat and asked me to marry him. And I said YES!!! He made me one very happy and lucky lady!

We finally arrived at the tip of the Baja peninsula. It was an amazing boat ride adventure with my best friend. We both had the time of our lives!!! After Odie proposed to me Fernando played a song for us by Celia Cruz "La Vida Es Un Carnival". It was perfect for the occasion! We danced salsa on the boat to celebrate our engagement. Thank you God for blessing us with peace and great happiness on this beautiful day!
