Bluee the Bluebird - Page Text Content

BC: Bluee didn’t want to go. So we took a bag and put Bluee in it and dropped him off at the town park. We watched from the car as Bluee flew far, far away. We went on with our lives. We were all happy.

FC: Bluee the Bluebird

1: … One day I was going for a walk. When I got back I saw my cat with a bird in its mouth. I ran inside my house and told my mom. She said, “Don’t open the door!”

2: But my big sister did!

3: The cat came in the door and showed us all her new friend. When she dropped the bird, it flew to the back of the couch and perched there. Everyone screamed. My dad even screamed. He screamed like a girl. He hid. Nobody could get the beautiful bird. The bird was bright blue and his eyes were sparkling. We named the bird Bluee.

5: Bluee hid and we couldn’t find him. My dad went to the bathroom and Bluee was in the shower. Bluee flew past my dad and that made him REALLY scream.

7: We had to feed this bird something, so we gave Bluee worms that my grandpa fished with. The bird was fine and stopped going crazy. My dad stopped going crazy, too. My dad wanted Bluee as a pet. The bird stayed at our house for awhile. The bird did everything with my dad. My dad didn’t scream like a girl anymore. He sounded like a man. Eventually, my mom said that Bluee had to go. He was wild, after all, and deserved to be back in his environment. My dad was sad. But Bluee had to go. My dad said goodbye to Bluee. My whole family said goodbye, too.
