The sky was dark and the stars were shining, when all of a sudden a sky rocket ripped through the sky and it plummeted down, still not exploding. Then it struck the rugby club and it burst into flames on the roof. Larry gasped and then his old chair fell over taking him with it. WUMP!

He struggled up and he thought to himself "that chair needs a replacement." He ran inside his house and grabbed all his water bottles and he unscrewed the caps. Then he tossed the water on the fire but it was too big. He ran worryingly to the road and he jumped right in the middle. Then he waved his arms about to stop the car that was coming. It stopped, and Kenny Coony jumped out and said "what's the mater?" Larry pointed at the fire extinguisher under Kenny Coony's spare seat that was beside the driver's seat, then at the rugby club. He gasped and yelled "jump in!"

Beep Beep, Kenny Coony's car zoomed to the hall. Everyone was there for the school play, the warning would go better there. They sped there, then they ran to the door and then... the man at the door asked "do you have a ticket?" Kenny Coony's mouth was open, he twitched "but"... "No butts" the doorman said. Then Cuzzie Manos staggered up to them drunkly "I have a ticket annnd I dooon't neeeed it." Then he gave the ticket to Kenny.

Larry reached over and and he grabbed the ticket and he ran in. The man took his ticket, Larry charged in and ran on the stage, then he did a haka. Most people said "get off the stage" except Matua Erueti, he stood up and said "Fire! Where?" He had understood the haka. Then Kenny ran in and shouted "AT THE RUGBY CLUB!" What happened next was hectic - some people called the fire brigade but everyone left the hall. A bit later Koro Weezy and Nanny Fanny heard the news and they came speeding to the hall in Nanny Fanny's bus, Put Put. Nub Nub, Koro Weezy's three legged-cat hissed loudly in the speeding bus. They picked up some people at the hall. While that was happening Larry and Kenny Coony went to the rugby club in Beep Beep. Soon, tons of people were zooming to the rugby club field which was Maramatanga park.

Then all the people stared desperately at the fire on the rugby club. The building would be saved but the fire would destroy lots. The fire trucks wouldn't be there quick enough, there wasn't enough time, when suddenly... like the weather heard their call, it started to rain! The blaze was weakened and it kept the fire down for enough time until the fire trucks came. Soon after, they saw that the fire truck and the rain had almost saved the entire building!!! Everyone there cheered hurrar! hurrar! Larry was a hero even though he could not speak! Later the production continued and Larry got a free ticket. After that Koro Weezy, Nanny Fanny, Cuzzie Manos and Kenny Coony had a fantastic hangi with some spuds, smoked fish and eels and last of all a refreshing drink of water. The next day Larry was most praised. He thought he couldn't be happier and he had a great snooze that night.

The next morning Larry walked to his old broken chair. When he stopped, there by his old broken chair was a magnificent new wooden chair, which was made as a surprise. He grinned happily as he sat down and on the chair, just above and clearly visible was his name Larry Bidois. He was so happy as he continued what he usually did - he waved at people and they waved gratefully and happily back at him... At Larry, the man who saved the rugby club. (That later was repaired - what damages were made anyway). Larry saved the day without talking.
