"In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." - Abraham Lincoln
Our 2012 started in December 2011, with our visit seeing all our loving family in Indiana. This was Pooh's first visit to America, first Christmas with me, first time to see snow, and it was just the best Christmas present I could have ever hoped for. I included our family photo, but it seems it is always changing, and we will always love all who come and go. This year, Christmas will be spent away from all of the ones I love except for my loving husband, Pooh. We will miss being with you all.
It's the little moments that make life big.
Songkran (Thai New Year) | Everyone Enjoys the water during the New Year Celebration
At one of the hundreds of Temples in ChiangMai
We spent the Thai New Year in the city of Chiang Mai. Built in 1296 it was surrounded by a moat and protective wall. The moat full of water makes the New Year celebration fun, with an endless supply of free water to throw on each other. We also went to an Elephant Park and rode the elephants.
We rode a raft on the river, watched elephants playing ball, visited an orchid farm, rode ox, and elephants.

From Pattaya to Siem Reap is about 10 hours by Bus, it took over 1 hour to cross the boarder with lines and paperwork. It cost about $15 for the bus, $20 for the boarder, our room was $18 per night and admission to Angkor Wat was $20.
This temple is currently closed while renovation is done. We were told it could take 100 years to restore everything in the Angkorian Complex
There are 72 temples in the Angkorian Complex, we visited 7 of them.
Left side, un-restored walkway. All the blocks are numbered and ready for restoration. We had a choice to walk on the uneven side or even side.
