The Crew | "A fishing pole and the lure of the catch have brought more men together than all the peace talks ever held on earth." Anonymous

The natural BEAUTY of Alaska was stunning.

Ketchikan is the southeasternmost sizable city in Alaska. Its picturesque setting and natural harbor make it a haven for cruise ships, tourism and fishing. Tourism and fishing constitute the largest portion of its economy today, but it was home to Ketchikan Pulp Company the latter half of the 20th century. The pulp company was closed in 1997 when it was determined it had been dumping contaminated wastewater and sludge in the waters around Ward Cove. Ketchikan has been labeled with several nicknames: Salmon Capital of the World, Rain Capital of Alaska, and Alaska's First City. Ketchikan has yet another claim to fame...it has the world's largest collection of standing totem poles!

Waterfall Resort is a short plane ride from Ketchikan. Originally founded as a salmon cannery in the early 1900's, today it is a premiere sport fishing lodge heralded by fishermen worldwide. The annual return of halibut and salmon to Waterfall's prime location ensure its legendary reputation will be enjoyed by those serious about fishing for many years to come.

A great fishing experience is not about the destination...

 ...it's about the journey.

"55 years of fishing in 3 days, and now I'm hooked! I can't wait 'til next year... | ...fishing snobs complain about having to reel in a halibut...bring on the King Salmon!" Rick Johnson

"If you really want to get to know someone--take them fishing." Dan Shockley

"Fishing with friends is way ahead of whatever is in second place." Ken Trawick

LONGTAIL BOATS OFF THE COAST OF MAYA BAY | November 13 | "Fishing and life have taught me the paramount wisdom of well-chosen fishing companions." Ancient Chinese Wisdom

"Fishing with friends is way ahead of whatever is in second place." Ken Trawick

ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SUNSET OFF KRABI POINT | November 11 | "Fishing gives people the opportunity to spend time with true friends and family in some of the most peaceful and picturesque settings in the world." Blaine Easter

"Fishing with friends is way ahead of whatever is in second place." Ken Trawick | "If you're working too hard to go fishing, you're just working too hard." Tucker Dotson

ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SUNSET OFF KRABI POINT | November 11 | "Fish, eat, sleep, repeat..." Any fisherman with a lick of sense

Other FRIENDS at sea and CATCH of the day.

The winged FISHERMAN and something BIG on the horizon.

We thought the TRIP was about fishing and found it was really about SO MUCH MORE...

The winged and four footed CITIZENS of Alaska were FASCINATING.

Beautiful beyond description, the Alaskan landscapes often took on an "other worldly" appearance.

Alaska casts a spell on all those that have visited her, and she beckons to be visited time and time again.
