BC: Alana & Mike's Wedding October 2010 & Philadelphia & New Jersey sights
FC: Alana's Wedding | Our trip to New Jersey & Philadelphia in 2010
Philadelphia as viewed from our rental car
Best Philly Cheesesteaks in Philadelphia are found at Geno's. The area is not the usual tourist neighbourhood but the cheesesteaks were as good as promised.
Beautiful architecture in the area around Geno's | We never would have seen this part of Philadelphia if it weren't for our plan to eat a cheesesteak.
Traffic heading out of the city into New Jersey at about 3pm.
Crepe place in Vineland. Very tasty!
Apparently this was a "bad" part of town that we shouldn't have gone to but we were okay.
T | Touching the Atlantic Ocean! | The Boardwalk at Ocean City, NJ
The first time Jillian had been to the Atlantic Ocean.
 Boardwalk at Ocean City, NJ
 Alana & Mike | Rob
Boardwalk food, ginormous pizza | & deep-fried Oreo cookies!
 So tasty but so wrong
Lucy the Elephant in Margate City, NJ
 Money Money Money MONEY
$ | Gambling in Atlantic City Jillian DOUBLED her money on the slot machines and won a $12! It was disappointing that the arm pull didn't actually do anything to work the machine, you just press buttons.
Alana & Mike requested that no pictures be taken during the ceremony. But we got a great one of us! Pirate themed gear was appropriate wedding attire as evidenced by Rob's great sweater.
 Pirate Themed Wedding!
The wedding was held at Wheaton Arts in Millville. They got married in a gazebo that was out over a corner of a lake in the grounds. We all stood on the bank to watch. There were some picnic tables and benches to sit on if needed. A very picturesque setting and a nice ceremony. Alana was very pretty and Mike was very pirate-y. The reception took place in an on-site building so we just walked over and found our seats. Each table was named something pirate-y and there was a list of names on each table as well. Mike had printed those pages and then soaked them in coffee and then baked the pages in the oven and then artistically burned each page. So there were some with holes in the middle and others with crispy edges. There were chests with jewels and gold coins and other assorted items in them as centerpieces. By the presents table they had put Mike's seaman chest and the head table had a pirate flag. And the cake! The cake was an actual pirate ship! It looked amazing. It was a great wedding.
