About This Mixbook

  • Title: Alaskan Cruise
  • This is my first photo book using Mixbook and it came out better than all of the other photobook websites I've used. My family and I had a wonderful trip to Alaska, cruising along the south east edge. We flew over to Seattle from New York where we dined in the space needle, it was amazing. However, if given the chance to dine there, do not order the paella.. On the second day we went through the Tracy Arm Fjord. This was most definitely the most perfect experience. The views were nothing short of breathtaking and pictures will never be able to capture the experience. Next day we cruised to an old fashioned looking town called Skagway. We went in September so there was dead salmon in the ponds. It didn't smell very pretty. My father, boyfriend and I were scheduled to take a helicopter to a glacier. Unfortunately it was cancelled. Oh well.. more money to spend on drinks! Next day we visited Juneau, the capital of Alaska. My family and I went zip lining. It was pretty amazing except for the fact my mother is afraid of going on those rope bridges. Needless to say, My brother and my boyfriend took the opportunity to constantly shake the bridge.. giving my mother a panic attack.. let's just say she probably won't go on another excursion with them again. We then visited Ketchikan. It rains there 300 days a year but we had SUN! Awesome! The time spent there was too short but it was a beautiful day. Last place we visited was Victoria, BC Canada. My parents and my boyfriend weren't expecting it to be so nice! Everything was lit up and sparkling. We had dinner in one of the restaurants, best food all trip! Next stop.. home. This was a once in a lifetime trip and between seeing killer whales, endless number of humpback whales, receding glaciers, having my body dangle over a 100 feet in the air and then even getting engaged! It was the perfect trip. I don't think I'll be forgetting this one anytime soon.
