4: DAY 1 = The bus ride to NYC was crazy. our bus driver was texting while driving our bus. After arriving in NYC alive, we were checked in by 10:15, boarded the ship by noon, and started eating at the buffet by 12:30. The room wasn't ready, so we spent some time at the pool. At 4:00 we set sail. Sailing out of New York was amazing; as we passed the Statue of Liberty, the band played "Proud to be an American" - it was so moving. There was a welcome BBQ at the pool and then we set out to check out the ship. Later we went to the Red Lion Pub for karaoke. Had dinner at Versailles and off to bed. DAY 2 = Breakfast at Versailles - I think that this was my favorite place to eat. At 11:00 we went to the Spinnaker Lounge for bingo. None of us won. Jeff and I went to play family dodgeball with about 50 people. It was about an hour and a half long and was a great workout. Went to the pool for a while and then went back to the room to get ready for "Dress up or Not Night" - tonight we are getting some formal pictures done tonight as well. We had dinner at "La Cucina" - the ship's Italian specialty restaurant. After dinner, we went to the deck and played shuffle board for a while. More drinks, then off to bed. DAY 3 = Woke up at 5AM to see the sunrise. It was so peaceful sitting on the pool deck. When I looked over my right shoulder, there was a rainbow. It was an amazing sight. It was a perfect wake up. Lunch was a Jamaican theme - Jerk chicken, Caribbean vegetables, Jamaican meatloaf, Jerk chicken salad. Jeff and I attended the circus workshop on the sport's deck. We learned to walk on stilts, juggle, chinese yo-yo, plate spin, and flip chinese sticks. It was fun. We played a game of scrabble in our room. After we went to the Musical in the theater. Dinner in the market cafe - carved roast beef night, crepes to order and a chocolate fountain. SO excited to arrive in port in the morning. DAY 4 - Woke up in Bermuda - boy is it humid here - My camera lens fogged up and didn't clear for a couple hours. We took the ferry to St George for lunch. After, Jeff and I went to the Crystal caves and the others took the ferry to Hamilton to shop and see the sights. The tide was so high that it raised the floating bridge in the caves and we had to be very careful walking that we didn't hit our heads. | BERMUDA VACATION SUMMARY
5: After a bus ride that I was sure was going to end or lives, we met the others in Hamilton and took the ferry together back to the Dockyard. Went to Aqua for dinner. I think I ate dessert with every lunch and dinner. After, the girls went out on the deck and had drinks until 12:30AM. DAY 5 = Breakfast at Versailles then off to explore the island. Hired a wheelchair van and went on a 3 hour tour of the island. He took us all over and taught us a lot of the history of the island - He also took us to some of the most beautiful scenic points on the island. He took us to a beach where he could park his van so close to the beach that mom could see everything that we were doing. It was so nice. The driver's name was Renny. It was both educational and fun. When we got back to the ship, mommy took a nap and the girls went to the pub for karaoke. We went for prime rib dinner at aqua and got ready for the white hot party on the pool deck! We had so much fun at the party. 80% of the people were in white, so everyone glowed under the lights. Lots of dancing, lots of blinky lights and lots of drinks. in short - - lots of fun! DAY 6 = Our last day on the island. We had a pretty early breakfast at the market cafe and then set out to enjoy the dockyard. We went to the small shopping mall in the clock tower. It was really nice. It had a lot of small shops, not any type of name brand stores. Then we went to glassworks. This place was just spectacular. We watched as they melted the glass and then spun it into plates and bowls and such. It is almost hypnotic watching it. After a little more shopping was done, the other girls headed back to the ship and I went to Snorkel Bay Beach and swam in the ocean a little bit and relaxed and read my book. About 3 PM, I headed back to the ship to shower. I joined about 800 other people in the grand atrium to watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. It was amazing to sit there with people of all different nationalities as the parade of nations was announced. As they called out a country's name, there were small eruptions of cheers from around the the ship representing the world. The ship set sail at 5:10PM to start our journey home. At 8:00PM there was a "Chocoholic Buffet" and holy smokes was it amazing!!!!!! There was chocolate everything! Then off to the deck for our nightly drinks and we talked about all we did throughput the week.We all went to bed very late. DAY 7 = our last day on the ship we really didn't do anything but relax and eat and lay in the sun. Perfect end to the Perfect vacation DAY 8 - Woke up to watch the ship dock in NYC - most amazing vacation EVER!!!!!
