FC: California Vacation 2010
By Car The first leg of our journey was by car to Grandma & Grandpa's house. We stopped along the way to roll down a big hill and have lunch. At Grandma's, Micah helped pick green beans from the garden. He tasted one, but was not a fan of the flavor.
By Plane Micah & Ben had their first plane ride! We took about a two hour flight from Portland Oregon to Oakland California. The boys liked exploring the airport and watching the planes come and go and load luggage from the big windows. But of course the long time waiting was not complete without at least one meltdown...
icah was very excited to be on an airplane (just like Auntie Amy!). The seat tray tables were fascinating. | hen Ben fell asleep on the plane, Micah wanted to say goodnight prayers for him. | f course, the cool activity bag the flight attendant gave him was pretty neat too. He even got a pair of wings! | he best part was getting to fly in, and above, the clouds. It was an amazing view! | W | M | O | T

Playing | We walked to the park by Great Grandma's house. Ben became aware that a tunnel is a great place to hide out. He became something of a "tunnel hog" and even tried to kick out the other kids.
good time was had by all (even the adults!). Micah had so much fun that he fell asleep at the dinner table! It was an exhausting day of travel followed by a day of sun at the park, no wonder! | A
