 Oceanside Pier
We spent the afternoon walking the Oceanside Pier. We hadn't planned to get in the water, but the ocean was irresistible for the kids and before we knew it, they were running through the water. Tre was so excited to be at the ocean! We ended our afternoon with tacos and snow cones on the beach. What a great start to our California adventure!
The next stop on our California adventure was LEGOLAND! Tre was probably the most excited about this stop, but we quickly found out that it was fun for the whole family. We had a blast riding the Lego themed rides, and walking around looking at all of the Lego sculptures and creations. Richard and the boys especially enjoyed the Star Wars exhibit. Addison's favorite part was the Duplo block play land. All of the kids earned their Legoland drivers license.!We ended our Legoland adventure with a very expensive trip to the gift shop :)
 Star Wars LEGOLAND
Brotherly Love Jordyn and Tre spent some quality time on the basketball courts during our stay at the Welk Resort. We all enjoyed our family time at the Welk swimming, playing board games and making memories.
Disney California Adventure We spent our last two days at Disneyland. Our first day we spent exploring California Adventure. We met Mickey and Minne and many of the Toy Story characters. We surprised the kids with lunch reservations at Aerial's Grotto and got to meet the famous Disney Princesses. We ended our day watching the night time spectacular show World of Color.
 Ready for autographs...
Addie was excited to meet Jessie, but the loud noise from the roller-coaster kept her covering her ears. Jessie covered hers too :) | Toy Story Midway
 Lunch at Aerial's Grotto
We started our day at Disneyland early and planned to see the whole park, it was a little ambitious but we came pretty close. We rode all of our favorite rides (some twice), watched the parade, met some more characters, Tre completed Jedi Training Academy, Rich and I relaxed in the big easy while the older kids rode rides and Addie napped.
 Buzz Lightyear
Star Wars Tre was part of a small group of kids that was selected for the Jedi Training Academy. Richard was a bit jealous that Tre had the opportunity to fight Darth Vadar at the end of their training. Tre was very excited to receive his Jedi certificate.
Star Tours | we waited in line for 2 hours...
Fantasmic We headed over to the lagoon where we would watch the night show and fireworks. Rich met a really nice Disneyland staff member who gave us VIP seating and we got to see the show close up and away from the crowd. It was the magical ending to our Disneyland adventure.
 Old Town San Diego
We spent our last afternoon of our vacation in Old Town San Diego. Rich was excited to eat at a restaurant he saw on the food network- The Old Town Mexican Cafe. We watched them make fresh tortillas, and ate their famous Carnitas. After a delicious lunch we were serenaded by the Mariachis. This was a perfect ending to our vacation.
