S: Summer Vacation 2010 (1 of 2)
BC: To Be Continued....
FC: San Diego to Sacramento June 12 - 21, 2010
Here we are at Will Rogers Airport on our way to San Diego. Saying goodbye to Daddy was hard. Wish he could have gone with us.
What fun little excited boys can have at the airport!! | These were taken in Denver during our layover. We just told Nonnie goodbye as she went on to Sacramento.
As soon as Karla picked us up from the airport we headed straight for the beach. She lived right by Solana Beach. Peyton and Trey fell in love!!
I wasn't sure what Trey would think of the ocean salt water, but it looks to me like he's loving it!
Always have a blast at the beach!
You can tell the boys' interest. Peyton found a tiny crab and Trey enjoyed playing in the mud | Peyton's tiny crab | Peyton even found some unusual seaweed
It was everything he thought it would be
Ryan showed Peyton where he could look for crabs and other sea creatures. Who knows what else he may find? | Ryan, Peyton and Trey walking back to Ryan's house after our first outing at the beach.
Then we walked a couple of blocks to an authentic mexican take-out place. In our 3 days in San Diego, we ate here 3 times. Twice for breakfast. Nothing like rolled tacos and burritos first thing in the morning. Yum Yum
Then it was off to Megan's graduation party! | Shareese and Shaina | Peyton trying to warm up by the fire
Shareese and Scott | Shareese, Shaina and Sonny | The kids had a blast riding in the golf cart with Sonny. He was a wild driver!!
Scott's friend raises white retrievers. Peyton wanted to take one home. They're a rare dog from Russia.
The next morning it was off to the beach........ Early, Early........ For LOW TIDE
Wasn't sure this lobster was dead until Peyton started poking around on it.... it was. | The clams on the left started out very tiny. Took a while to figure out what I was stepping on that hurt so bad.
Oh! The treasures!! Peyton found some cool shells (unfortunately with a living creature inside). And Trey loved writing his name in the wet sand!
Then it was off to 'Moonlight Beach' for the day in the famous 'Westie'!! (short for Westfalia)
 Boogie Boardin'...
Peyton had fun building an awesome sandcastle. He decorated the top with seaweed and it even had a moat in the front.
Nothing like being buried to your ears in California sand!
Then it was Trey's turn. What was funny is he seemed to enjoy being buried so much he stayed there for about 30 min. A nap maybe???
 Our day at...
The kids got to build their own lego car to race each other down the track.
I enjoyed squirting the kids with water as they went by. | We had a great time spinning on the bionicle ride.
If you look closely to your left you can see the lego men cleaning out George Washington's ear. Funny, funny!
Window cleaning... Who would have thought??
 Las Vegas baby!
 Actually, leaving vegas....
The boys had fun racing these boats. (bottom left pic)
The kids and I were in a race to pump the fire truck over to the fire, put the fire out and then pump the truck back to where we started. It was exhausting, but we won by less than a second. What fun this was!!
 F I R E ! ! !
Trey decided it was HIS turn to spray someone with water!
This ride had incredible legos in it, but cameras were not allowed inside.
 Walk like an Egyptian.....
This was Peyton's favorite ride in the park. You could pick how intense you wanted the ride. 1-5... of course he picked level 5!!
Oh my... the kids are actually taking a driving test... | They passed!!! Shew....
Had to find just the right car. | And maybe even getting their license???? Look out!!!
 I LOVE happy boys!!
Our view of miniland from the ride.
The kids loved acting goofy | Getting ready to see ''The Adventures of Clutch Powers' in 3D
Then it was off to 'Islands' to have dinner with Shareese, Sonny, Seth, Nadia and Cassidy | Sweet Cassidy
 Peyton absolutely adored her
Sonny taught Trey to act very goofy....yeah, right... like he didn't already know..... Two peas in a pod | Trey became very attached to Sonny. As you can tell, he didn't want to let go.
We really enjoyed staying with Karla, Ryan and Connor
These pics were taken in front of Karla's house, view towards the beach and on her front porch area. | Of course Peyton loved being around their dogs.... Miley the Golden Retriever and Ruby the Field Spaniel.
Then it was off to Sacramento | I know Shon was TRILLED to help Peyton clean out his new (stinky) shell.
We started off with a fun cookout at Steve and Kate's house.
The kids had a blast playing in the backyard.
Trey, Peyton, Hannah and Riley | Josh, Ian and Alec
The kids liked to play a game called 'colors'. The people in the pool would think of a color and when the one who was 'it' would call your color you would try to quietly swim to the other side of the pool before they turned around, saw you and tagged you. | Shon and Shelley had a beautiful pool in their backyard.
