FC: Our First Anniversary Cruise Cozumel, Costa Rica and Panama January 14-22, 2012

1: Who: Jackie & Alex What: Carnival Freedom Cruise Where: Ft Lauderdale, FL When: January 14, 2012 Why: 1 Year Anniversary

2: Surprise... I surprised my husband with a cake, champagne and our own etched champagne flutes. A wonderful surprise to celebrate 1 year.

6: Cozumel Mexico We took a local taxi to a beach called Playa Corona, which was about a ten minute drive from the pier. Here we got to snorkel in clear blue seas and see a lot of amazing fish and coral. We finished the day with some shopping at the pier and lunch at a local restaurant while sitting on the beach and sipping some Coronas. Monday January 16, 2012

7: We had a great time fooling around and being silly in the hot tub and adults only pool on the ship.

23: Puerto Limon, Costa Rica Sloth Sanctuary and Canoe Adventure Today we spent the most amazing day at a Sloth Sanctuary where we got to see wild sloths who were being rehabilitated after being hit by cars or abused as pets. We even got to see baby sloths being hand fed. We hiked through the jungle where we got to see many species of flora and fauna, and even several different spiders weaving intricate webs. Our favorite was Buttercup the sloth, who tried to reach out to hug Jackie for a picture. Costa Rica is most definitely on our list of places to revisit. Wednesday January 18, 2012

33: Colon, Panama What a magnificent day in Colon. We traveled on Gatun Lake, met indigenous peoples of Panama, got close ups of Sloths and Tucans in the wild, and got to see the world famous Panama Canal. We got to buy handmade goods from the locals, and enjoy seeing a barge make its way through the Gatun Locks. We left Colon listening to live salsa music on the boat, a great end to a perfect day.
