1: Our Route | 16623 km
2: Day 1: Kelowna to Strathmore, AB
3: After a tearful goodbye with Kaja at YLW, we were off on our ADVENTURE of a lifetime. 1st official stop: Family of Man in Calgary. After that, a quick photo op at the Saddledome and we made it to the Walmart in Strathmore for the night.
4: Day 2: Strathmore to Moose Jaw, SK
5: Samis Tipi, Medicine Hat
6: In Saskatchewan, we enjoyed the endless canola fields, survived a tornado warning, and LOVED Gus at the Tunnels of Moose Jaw.
7: Next stop: Regina for a tour of the RCMP Depot | Day 3: Moose Jaw to Brandon, MB
8: Day 3: Onward to Brandon, MB | Enjoying a beautiful Prairie sunset while biking along the Assiniboine River

14: Day 5 & 6: Northern Ontario
15: A road side stop for a quick swim, an easy geocache, a night at Aaron Provincial Park, and a tribute to Terry Fox in Thunder Bay. That night, we found a most tranquil pull out on the shores of Lake Superior and camped for the night.
16: Day 8: The Big Nickel at Dynamic Earth in Sudbury, ON
17: Day 9: Biking the Rideau Canal and enjoying the sights and sounds of our nation's capital.

24: Day 13: Montreal in a day... ! | 1) Centre Bell 2)Biodome 3) Poutine 4) Old Port 5) Mt. Royal
27: Day 14: The Plains of Abraham, Quebec | The Plains of Abraham is just a big sports field today surrounded by cannons of long ago ...a little anti-climatic.
28: Day 15: So much to see.... so much to do.... all within the walled city of Old Quebec

32: Day 17: Kings Landing, New Brunswick
34: Kings Landing Historical Settlement is a living history museum of the 1800's. Some of the highlights were the visiting"Jimmys" and "Jennys", the circle dance in front of King's Head Pub, the fresh molasses bread, and visiting with the villagers.
35: Day 18: A quick visit to Magnetic Hill in Moncton, NB and then onwards to Nova Scotia...
36: Nova Scotia: the land of the homard (lobster)
37: Day 19: Halifax & the Tall Ship Festival. First stop, the Citadel at the top of the city
38: Halifax Harbour and the Tall Ship Festival
40: Day 20: Peggy's Cove, NS ....simply breathtaking
44: Away from the roll of the sea. .. .
45: Day 21: A day of travel to Sydney, NS with a quick stop at the Alexander Graham Bell Museum.
46: Day22: Fortress of Louisbourg
48: Day 23: After a brief stop at the world's largest fiddle, we boarded the Newfoundland Ferry to Port aux Basque.
49: Day 24: Gros Morne National Park. We camped at Green Point, a gorgeous campground overlooking the water. That evening, we took a walk on the beach and explored a deserted fishing village.
51: Day 25: We hiked, we fished and we saw the ONLY lady moose of our entire trip.
52: Day 26: We woke up to beautiful sunshine on our last day at Gros Morne and took a boat tour of Western Brook Pond. Simply STUNNING...
53: Day 27: Long Point Lighthouse at Twillingate, NL
55: Day 28: Prime Berth Atlantic cod fishing at its best

57: Day 29: A day trip to Bonavista to check out the Ryan Premises Historic Site, the famous lighthouse, and to build inukshuks....

63: 194th Royal St. John's Regatta, Quidi Vidi Lake
64: And so it was we left Newfoundland, foggy and damp... | ...and after a 16 hour ferry, we arrived back in sunny Cape Breton. | Day 33: Cabot Trail and the Cape Breton Highlands

66: We spent the night in the small Acadian fishing village of Cheticamp. They have live music everywhere and we enjoyed a fabulous concert in front of their stunning cathedral.
67: While driving through Mabou, we just had to stop at the Rankin sisters' Red Shoe Pub for lunch...
68: Our final stop on Cape Breton Island was the Heritage Music Festival in Iona, where we saw Outside Track.
69: Day 35: We boarded the ferry to PEI on the most beautiful of days. The red shore could be seen from miles away.
70: Day 35-37: Murray River & Seal Cove Campground | We spent 3 glorious days with Lorna & Doug & co. We went clam digging, mackerel fishing, and even had a lobster dinner together. Now that's Island hospitality...

90: Day 49-50 Toronto, ON Being mostly "museum-ed" out, we chose to go to a Jays game in TO. We also wandered the waterfront, rode the subway, hung out with our good friends, the Philcox, and of course, did the CN tower.
