It has been a year of many transitions for the Dickerson crew. We continue to do our best to walk in the path that God has set out for us. We have made many life changes in hopes that we are growing personally in our character and in our personal walks with Christ.. The first big change was the decision to accept a security position at The Mansions apartment complex. and list our house on the market. This move would allow us to simplify our possessions, simplify our lifestyle and free up our monthly living expenses. The idea is to create margin in all areas of our life in order to better serve God and others. | The transitions were happening during August and we felt it unfair to enroll Ty in Kindergarten during the chaos, so we made the decision to homeschool. This later proved to be exactly what God intended for us. Our first endeavor at the complex was hosting a VBS for the community children. This was a huge blessing to all 55 children and 13 youth/adults involved. This is also where we first met Robert. Robert became a part of our family on October 7th. Along with him came numerous blessings, opportunities for growth, and challenges. We are excited to discover where God leads us next as we strive to serve him while we are waiting.

On New Year's Eve, we host a babysitting slumber party. Every year we have between 12 and 20 children spend the night for fun, messy games, crafts and food.

 { | { | FRIENDS

Good friends, good beer, good cigars and chasing the perfect sunset...

Grandad was very upset last year because Jacko was crying in the picture on the front cover of our album. So this page is dedicated to Grandad. I am dedicated to capturing the fits as well as the smiles...and they are funnier anyway.

 Waaaaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaa! Call Grandad...

Silliness! | (It's good for your soul.) | Dylan wears a build a bear costume, and the Dickersons are never short on crazy faces.

Ty straightens his hair to look like Justin Beiber then strikes a pose. | At Waffle ouse you can fit in fine with other crazies!!

 Second Annual Carnival Cruise

Chad and I took full advantage of the ocean activities. We swam out to the mountain then played king of the raft on the floating mat. I won. :)

Raise your glass if you are wrong in all the right ways.~Pink

I don't really remember what kinds of shenanigans were going on in these photos. I do remember that Ryan was quite the sport when we made him play the cat in the hat game with us. There are lots of fun memories to be made in the kitchen.

The first beautiful day after winter always leads us outside all day long. This started as an innocent park trip and quickly became a very dirty adventure! My kids LOVE to play in dirt...jump in the dirt, roll in the dirt and sometimes it ends up in the mouth! | Filthy = Fun | Lilli, Lorenzo, Jacko and Ty

Jacko thinks he is superman. He often jumps with all of his might and his face just gleams with pure joy.

 Fun

 MEMAW | with

Every year around Mardi Gras we get together with Brian and Brianne Dillard to eat crawfish at Willie's icehouse. The kids love going to "fedodo" to zydeco music and the grownups love to drink beer and suck heads.

When it was FINALLY time for me to move to Vermont, JoJo agreed to fly to Nashville and make the drive with me, then fly back to Houston from Albany, NY. I was definitely ready to get home to VT as soon as possible, but since we figured we would likely never make this drive again, we wanted to make a few stops along the way and make it an adventure. Destinations included Mammoth Caves in KY, Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in OH, Niagara Falls in NY and several places we spotted along the way and stopped to investigate. ;-) It was such a fun time to spend together! Memories for a lifetime!~Beck

ROAD TRIP!!! | Got our Vibrams and our Giddy-up hats--READY TO RIDE!!!

A Snapshot of our Journey (from Bccky's twitter feed)

***It's a real shame I can't include the videos of me dancing and singing Michael Jackson et. al. while driving and also our lengthy interaction with a DJ in NY. ;-)

We couldn't pass this gorgeous field in KY without getting a picture. | This was such a fun adventure to share with my BFF sister Beck!

Then we spent some time in Mammoth Caves | After a few adventures in OH, it was on to Pennsylvania and New York

Our favorite stop along the way was Niagara Falls

And then we finally arrived in Vermont, where I enjoyed exploring Beck's new world. . .

 2

Our fun day in Galveston began with some sightseeing at the ocean then onto Moody Gardens light festival to watch Santa parachute out of a plane! Then we visited the aquarium and rode the jungle adventure at Rainforest Cafe. Finally, we had a big breakfast at the Waffle House and Ty ended up with a tummy ache on the ride home. I think he liked riding in Mommy's lap though in case of puke!

This was our home for a year. A three bedroom apartment at The Mansions apartment complex in Houston, Texas. A very small place where we grew big, big love. During the week we got dressed in uniforms and headed to Memaw's house for home school. I never took pictures of our classroom, complete with bulletin boards and desks. It was a perfect setup for Bubba's first year of school. | Gingerbread cookies... Anthony Wiggle, Darth Vader, Michael Jackson, and SpongeBob. | Dylan decided to borrow the Buzz Lightyear outfit from her Build A Bear. Tight Fit! | Peyton straightened Bubba,s hair and he practiced his swag all day long.

We like our house to be at its maximum capacity for children.

Pre-Thanksgiving Festivities with my kitchen helper Isobella, my living room wrestler Garrett and my BFF Kelly.

We had a great day with the Maywalds at the Texas Renaissance Festival. Robert loved it because there were lots of opportunities for him to spin, flip, and swing. His SPD allows him to never get dizzy so he drew a crowd when he was spinning in the air on the harnessed trampoline. Ty and Anna had a great time wacking each other off the log. Jack and Dylan loved the elephants and the turkey legs!

A Camping Adventure then All Aboard the Polar Express to The North Pole!
