FC: Europe Trip 2010
Europe Trip 2010 In March of my grade twelve year, I went on a fourteen day Europe trip with my school. We went to Paris, London, Lucerne and parts of Germany, including Munich. Although it was exhausting, I had the time of my life and got to see things both beautifully breathtaking and historically interesting. I am determined to experience these cities and their distinct cultures again some day!!!
Me and my friend Kaitlin were together the entire trip. | London, England | Harry Potter!!!
Tower of London | Harry Potter!!! | We had time to visit the museums, explore the grounds and torture tower, and see the crown jewels.
 St. Paul's Cathedral
The London Eye had an amazing view and our whole group fit into one booth! | We departed London from the St. Pancras station and took the Eurostar to Paris
Buckingham Palace | We walked all the way to this museum just to find out that it was closed for renovations!! We were NOT happy... but the gardens were beautiful!
The double decker buses were everywhere. I loved it!!! | Our group went for a sightseeing tour of London on our coach bus. We also traveled a lot using the subway and the double decker buses... which were everywhere!
"Mind the gap." - London subway | On the river cruise, we saw many historical sites and passed under the famous bridges. After dinner, we went on the Jack the Ripper walk and heard stories about the renowned serial killer - it was fun but I was so tired!
 Le Louvre
It was huge! ...and Kaitlin and I got lost multiple times. | I think "Winged Victory", the statue of the goddess Nike, was my favourite.
 Versailles | Versailles
gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorge
 N O T R E | D A M E | The most detailed, elaborate building I have ever seen!
By Night | After seeing the beautiful view from the top of the Eiffel Tower, we went on a boat cruise down the Seine river. | Paris
Lucerne, Switzerland | Me and Kait ate soo much geloto!!!
We found this church on our walk around the city and decided to go inside. It was very different from the churches we saw in London and Paris, but still beautiful!
 Mount Pilatus
We took a cable car to the top of the mountain and then climbed up to an even higher platform. The view was breathtaking!
We went for a 3 km sled ride down the mountain. It was soo much fun (and kind of frightening)!! Definitely one of my favourite parts of the trip.
 G E R M A N Y | Munich
We took a guided tour of the famous Neuschwanstein Castle. Our teacher, Mrs. Nagi, also took us through blocked off pathways to get to a bridge that was suspended over a huge valley and had this amazing view of the castle!
 Bowling Night!
Heidelberg I loved this city! We had lots of free time to explore the adorable streets and shop at the market square. Even though it started to rain, we still has so much fun!
Fahrten | Safari | I LOVE zebras! But I was staring at them for a little too long and didn't notice that my group had disappeared...
GOATS! | The goats attacked me for my food! One of them also escaped through the fence and we had to catch it and bring it back. It was pretty chaotic.
I really enjoyed this party of the trip. The grounds and ruins of this castle were gorgeous and perfect for taking pictures!
Even though we had an amazing and unforgettable trip, by the last day, I was completely exhausted and ready to come home... but I promised myself that I would be back some day soon!!! | The End
