The dining was an event each evening, each trying new dishes or enjoying favorites. Emma became a steak lover, and Dylan finally found an endless supply of rib-eye. Dessert was highlighted each evening. Although we never made it to the formal dining room, the Aqua Room always was top-notch. Emma enjoyed her fill of the pool and hot tubs, making new friends where ever she went. Dylan enjoyed the basketball courts daily, relishing in his freedom to come and go without an adult. Evenings were filled with musical productions, comedy, and various shows.
21: Dolye, our cabin attendant, always had a surprise waiting for us in our room at night.
25: Costa Maya, Mexico | "The place of red corn" was discovered in 1972 and opened to the public in 2002, is marked by three temples It is thought that this city was inhabited around 300-360BC . Built in a slab and mortar fashion, limestone was mixed with the sap of the gum tree to produce the mortar. In addition to the temples an excavated city street lined by homes sometimes housing 15 or more people.
31: RaNae, Dylan, Emma and Ann enjoyed cave tubing deep in the Belizian jungle A less than smooth bus ride brought us to secluded caves where we floated in our tubes through caverns used my the Mayan people . Beautiful crystals line the walls. Emma opted for us to finish the trip with a swim in the lagoon. Lunch was topped off by chicken tacos and nachos. | Belize City, Belize
32: Belize City Tour An open air trolley ride through Belize City highlighted the poverty that this area experiences. With police escort, Mom and Tom experienced many run-down homes, and the homelessness that is more the norm than the exception.
