1: C/ Puerta de Orihuela N5, Bajo F C.P. 30003 Murcia, Spain | From Jan. 7 - May 24 2010, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain. It was the experience of a lifetime, and I will never forget it.

4: Asamblea Cristiana This was the church I attended in Spain. The congregation was very friendly and welcoming, and I felt right at home there.

15: This was my first trip in Spain., and I went with four other girls from Roberts. | The sights in the Alhambra were beautiful, as was the Cathedral that we went to see.
16: A Day at the Beach | Lily, Angie, Megan, and I all headed to Lo Pagan on a warm day in February. It was only an hour away!
17: Everyone bought a dish to pass, and we had our own little celebration. | We met an American football team. | Valentine's Day Party
18: International Week | La Universidad de Murcia hosted International Week for the students. They planned several activities for us, including a luncheon with the president, a guided tour of the city, a day trip to Cartagena, a weekend adventure in Sevilla, and more.

24: Our wonderful tour through the city included sights such as: the Cathedral, the Royal Palace, a flamenco show,
25: ancient Roman walls, and the Parliament building.
26: My first and last bullfight. | A brave group of us went to the bullfight for the cultural experience. It was held right in Murcia in the Plaza de Toros. | 7 Bulls for 7 Matadors
27: There were seven matadors, one of which was a female. | It was incredible to watch how close the matadors got to the bulls. They had no fear.

29: Lily, Angie, Tiphaine, & I | We practically had the castle to ourselves. :)
30: Las Fallas is a festival that is held in valencia every year. Months are spent creating ninots, which are then | Las Fallas | displayed throughout the city during the festival. The best one is saved, while the rest are burned at midnight.

33: Our first night there, we climbed to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Paris looked absolutely beautiful at night.! | This is how many steps we climbed to get to the top.
37: We stopped in Nantes, France to visit some friends. Nantes is famous for its crepes and its mechanical elephant.

45: There is nothing like celebrating Easter in Spain. Throughout Holy Week, processions were held daily. The procession on Easter Sunday was beautiful. | S a n t a
46: Bando de | This festival is held once a year in Murcia. It lasts one full day, and all the people dress up in their Murcian attire.
47: la Huerta | They spend the day eating and drinking in the streets, celebrating the arrival of spring.

49: This festival marks the end of the spring celebrations. At night there is a parade, and there are several floats that throw toys to the crowd. | Carrying all the toys we got! | We finally got our soccer balls. | The sardine that was burned at night. | Entierro de la Sardina

51: Monteagudo, Madrid, & More | My parents came to visit me for a week. It was so good to see them again. I gave them a tour of my city & we took day trips to places nearby.
52: Alicante | We took a day trip to tour the castle & enjoy the view of the Mediterranean.

54: B A R C | The Market | It was filled with aisle upon aisle of | every kind of fresh food that you could imagine.
55: E L O N A | We rode the gondola to see the castle of Montjuic. | Then we went to visit Poble Espanyol, a beautiful open-air museum.

57: This fountain in Barcelona is well-known for its shows. Music and lights add to the wonder and greatness of the fountain show. We went to see it two nights in a row, and ended up staying for several shows each time. | The Magic Fountain of Montjuic
