2: ACROPOLIS: Theater of Dionysus & The Porch of Maidens

3: Corinth Canal | Ancient Corinth-where St. Paul preached. | Beehive Tombs | EPIDAURUS-well preserved 2,300 yr.old open-air theater. | Lion's Gate, Europe's oldest known monument.

4: OLYMPIA, where the athletes of antiquity competed for the King of Deities. Temple of Hera-where the olympic flame is lit. | Temple of Zeus and the Gymnasium.

5: Seaport of Patras and the picturesque fishing villages. | Mystic Delphi-Acient sanctuary of the God Apollo on the slopes of Mt. Parnassus. | The Oracle of Delphi was a spiritual experience whereby the spirit of Apollo was asked for advice on critical matters relating to people's lives or affairs of the state. Questions were asked to the Pythia, or priestess who 'channeled' the spirit of the God | The Temple of Athena and the Charioteer, a 5th-century BC bronze statue in the Archaeological Museum.

6: North via Lamia & Trikala to Kalambaka. | Meteora, with its 24 rock-top monasteries. | Varlaam Monastery | One of the many rock-top monastery. | Famous frescoes of Varlaam Monastery & St. Stephen's Monastery.

7: Thermopylae, site of battle of Leonidas' 300 doomed Spartans against Xerxes' huge Persian army. | Known as the Battle of 300!

8: Goodbye Dinner at a restaurant overlooking Microlimano in Piraeus.

9: Starting our Aegean Legends 3 Day Cruise of some of the Greek Isles and Turkey.

10: Mykonos-the most cosmopolitan of the Greek Isles.

11: Entering the country of Turkey in the Port of Kusadasi | Statue of Virgin Mary. | The House of Virgin Mary. | Ancient city of Ephesus. | Oscar and Norma in front of Library of Celsius. | The Great Theatre, largest one in antiquity with 24,000 seats.

12: Isle of Patmos-the Village of Chora, where the Majestic Byzantine Monastary of St. John the Devine was built in 1066. | Grotto of the Apocalypse-cave became center of St. John's revelation which led to the creation of the Book of Revelations.

13: Knossos Excavations- Crete is the largest and most rugged of the Greek Isles. It is also home of the great Minoan Civilization and the mythological home of Zeus.

14: Admire the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea. We enjoyed walking along the cobble-stone streets and the white washed houses with blue shutters where one gets the impression that they are a beautiful travel poster. | SANTORINI
