19: Maniniholo Dry Cave Located across from Ha'ena Beach Park on Kauai's north shore, this dry cave is easily accessible as it is located right on the main highway. It is at the bottom of a steep cliff and is about 300 yards (274 m) deep. | Ha'ena Beach Visitors are urged to use extreme caution because there is no reef protecting this beach. Currents and waves can be very powerful and often dangerous. This is also a popular camping spot.
20: Ke'e Beach Located literally at the end of the road on KauaiÂ’s North Shore at the foot of the dramatic Na Pali Coast , the reef lagoon at KeÂ‘e Beach is a favorite snorkeling site. There are tons of colorful reef fish and turtles. KeÂ‘e Beach has a very tropical look with a backshore lushly vegetated by ironwood trees, coconut palms, ti, and guava. 31: The Thurston Lava Tube formed about 350-500 years ago. Lava tubes are formed when an active low-viscosity lava flow develops a continuous and hard crust, which thickens and forms a roof above the still flowing lava stream. This lava tube was discovered in 1913 by Lorrin Thurston, a local newspaper publisher. The trail within the tube is 400 feet (120 m) long. It takes only 10 minutes to walk through the tube.
