1: We celebrated Andrea's birthday at the Perkeo Restaurant.
3: Tim and Andrea's home and the view from their back yard.
5: We had a great time playing Uno, making crafts,reading books, and playing with Vivian and Adam.

7: Having lunch with some of the students who are part of the Biola Abroad Heidelberg Program. | We took them out for cake and coffee before the last class.
9: The first day we were in Heidelberg we went to the park with Vivian and Adam.

20: We took a day trip by train to Speyer, a former Roman colony with a cathedral built in 1054 A.D. (right) On the left is the city hall and bottom, a palace which is now an historical museum.
22: Speyer was home to one of most important medieval Jewish communities north of the Alps.In the 11th century Jewish merchants and bankers came from Italy and France. It existed for 400 years when persecution forced them out. Here, to the left, remains of the women's and men's synagogues. | Entrance to the ruins of the ceremonial baths on the synagogue grounds.
