FC: Kauai Anniversary 2011
The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page . St. Augustine
 Moir Gardens Kiahuna Plantation
Travel and change of place impart new vigor to the mind. Seneca
Orchids, Orchids and more orchids.... absolutely amazing!
Spouting Horn frequently spurts salt water 50 feet into the air
We kayaked and then hiked to Secret Falls where we were able to swim and stand behind the falls.
The food was so-so, but the entertainment was terrific!
This picturesque setting has been used in a number of films and TV shows, including South Pacific, Donovan's Reef, Jurassic Park, and Pirates of the Carribean.
 Allerton Gardens
 Na Aina Kai Sculpture Garden
It soon became apparent why Kauai is known as the garden isle. We toured several gardens. Na Aina Kai with its combination of sculpture and landscaping was my favorite.
The warning signs above acted on John like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey... so of course we drove there.
 Polihale State Beach
 Kilalau Trail
 Napali Sunset
What an amazing experience! The colors of the Napali coast were beautiful, the ride was exhilarating and the sunset with the sailboat in front of it was a stupendous sight. The pictures don't do it justice.
