S: Las Vegas 2010
Early Wednesday morning we made our way to Sioux Falls. We had a layover in Denver and then off to Las Vegas! This was Kaylee and Levi's first airplane ride, and they did awesome! | Las Vegas Dec. 29- Jan. 1
Let the Good Times Roll! | We arrived at noon and found a limo to take us to our motel. It was the first time most of us had been in a limo!
We stayed at the Palazzo on the strip. This is our room and our wonderful view.
We spent lots of time walking through our motel and looking at all the shops. There was so much to see and do! It was 30 degrees the whole time, so Kaylee and Levi spent lots of time bundled up in their strollers.
Wednesday night we walked the strip. We watched the "Atlantis" show in Caesar's palace. They also had a fish aquarium. Kaylee loved to watch the fish swim by. We then went and ate at the Flavors buffet.
On Thursday morning, the kids got to enjoy their Christmas gift from Mom and Dad. We went on a helicopter tour over the Hoover Dam and to the Grand Canyon. The view was absolutely amazing.
After a 45 minute flight, we landed in the bottom of the canyon. It was snowing and absolutely freezing!!!! We were served champagne and had a "nice" picnic.
Thursday afternoon everyone did their own thing. Kaylee got to go to the dolphin aquarium with Grandpa, Grandma, and Mommy. Kaylee loved to watch the dolphins play!
Thursday evening the kids enjoyed the other part of their Christmas gift. Jordan, Alex, Dave, and Amanda enjoyed going to see Terry Fator, the ventriloquist. Adam and Brittany enjoyed watching The Phantom of the Opera.
Friday morning the men enjoyed a tour of the Hoover Dam while the girls did some shopping. | Fun Facts - The bottom is 600 ft. thick -There is enough cement in the Hoover Dam to make a 4' sidewalk around the equator of the world - It weighs 6.6 million tons
Friday afternoon we took the tram to the end of the strip. Adam was pumped to find cheap beer for New Year's Eve. The only problem was that he needed to carry it 2 miles back to the hotel.
When we arrived at the airport, we were informed that our flight was delayed; therefore, we would miss our connecting flight in Denver. Mom sweet talked the attendant to let us take the flight to Denver, and we would worry about it later if we missed the next flight. We arrived in Denver with 10 minutes to catch our next flight. Dad, Dave, and Amanda waited for the strollers, while the rest of the group ran ahead. We ran a half a mile through the airport with strollers, bags, and kids in our hands and dodged people on the way. We made it to our gate with literally 1 minute to spare. The flight went smoothly, and we were surprised to find our luggage in Sioux Falls.
