BC: Our memories of the ocean will linger on long after our footprints in the sand are gone.
'bon bini' | Radisson Resort and Casino | Welcome to Aruba
Who's turn to get the hut? | Palm | Beach
Buster's Garage | Beach, Beer, Sunday Football and your Favorite Wingman...
We spent the day at the beach trying to soak up every bit of sunshine as we braced for Hurricane Tomas to hit the Caribbean. Although Aruba is below the hurricane belt our forecast called for rain over the next few days:( | The boys were happy watching football and the girls snuck in a little retail therapy on the way over:) | We all met up at Buster's to watch the Pats beat Favre and the Vikings:) | Our next stop was Gianni's for some Italian and their Flaming Cheese Wheel! | Christine saved the night - she had made us all Trick or Treat bags for Halloween! | After all hell broke loose..
The famous Divi-Divi tree is a natural compass as it always points in a southwesterly direction due to the tradewinds that blow across the island.
 Baby Beach
Baby Beach is one of the prettiest beaches in Aruba... No hotels, pristine waters, velvet soft sand, amazing snorkeling and to keep everyone wondering - Do they really feed the sharks over here?
Charlie's was so much fun. We had cold beers and cocktails and sang Happy Birthday to Tsunami Pete | (while we plotted revenge against the brat:)
WOW...every inch of Charlie's is covered with memorabilia left by tourists who visit the bar. It felt | the stuff from | like home seeing all | Boston:)
California Lighthouse | The sunsets and views SPECTACULAR! You can see the whole island! | The Lighthouse is named after the US ship California that sank off the coast of Aruba in 1912 | Sue & Anthony stayed over here for a few days:)
'What? Gamache right there. I realize it doesn't say Peter but Santa..I can explain.. the puddle..it was just too tempting not to splash them'
Getting Around The Island... We quickly realized that the only way to really see Aruba was by jeep. The island, only 20 miles long and 6 miles wide is a desert covered with cactus, goats, donkeys and beautiful beaches. It was a lot of fun exploring the island from one end to the other and depending on which side of the island we were on, the homes were either beautiful mansions or tiny shacks and many were painted in the bright colors of the caribbean. We were lost most of the time but followed the winding and twisting rugged dirt roads along the north coast in search of the Alto Vista Chapel. The chapel was perched atop a hill overlooking the ocean, it was so majestic and peaceful there. Tierra del Sol Golf Course was beautiful and Anthony enjoyed playing the links!
 Iguanas are everywhere
Strolling guitar players roamed the dining room playing favorite requests while Elonzo our doorman donned his Zorro costume and tried to charm the ladies. | "If music be the food of love, play on" William Shakespeare | For Susan and Anthony's anniversary we headed downtown to one of their favorite places to wine and dine!
 El Gaucho's
 Senor Frog's | Laughter Is An Instant Vacation | . . | (
 Silicon Free Zone ???
 Rock Star!
If Drunks Could Fly, This Place Would Be An Airport
Shake n' Bake | Dancing Queen
Our resort was beautiful..so lush and tropical. We found "hidden" pools, a spa, waterfalls and exotic wildlife roamed about the grounds.
Castaways Beach Bar | Aruba Ariba | Dirty Banana | Frozen Margarita | Mudslide | Mira Sole Martini | Balashi Beer | Drink Menu
 Happy Hour
 Soakin up the Sun
They say 'it never rains in Aruba' well... it does, but for the ten of us, that didn't dampen our fun. We spent our week in Aruba shopping, reading, relaxing, gambling, exploring, laughing, fishing, playing cards and yes, sometimes fighting. We ate, we drank but most of all, we shared a wonderful vacation on a charming island with some pretty amazing family and friends. We each have our memories we will remember Thanks for a great trip:)
 Until Next Time ...
