6: Naples, Italy Amalfi Drive and Pompeii Tour. Duration: 9.5 hours, strenuous 7:10 am. Departing pier, pass Mt Vesuvius as you begin the drive enroute to the Amalfi Coast. Drive along winding coastal road passing Positano. Resort of Amalfi lies at mouth of gorge. You'll have time for photos and stroll. Lunch served. Coach winds along Amalfi Coast passing by Vietri sul Mare enroute to Pompeii. Visit extensive ruins, site of famous excavations. As you enter Pompeii by the Sea gate, a short walk takes you to the city's hub, the Forum. Surrounded by lavish temples and porticoes, you'll begin to grasp the lifestyle of the inhabitants. Admire the mansions and the art of wealthy patricians who moved to Pompeii to escape the turmoil of Rome; view countless paintings and insciptions. Time permitting; you'll stop at a cameo factory where you will have the opportunity to observe local artisans at work in their centuries-old tradition.

14: Sicily, Italy, Monday, May 7 Docked in Catania, Lovely Taormina Tour duration: 4.5 Hours, Moderate, 9:35am. Stop below the village of Taormina before proceeding uphill (on foot) to the village gates. Upon reaching Taormina, walk past the ancient village's many squares. Near the center of Taormina, your walking tour will begin as your guide leads you along cobblestone streets to Palazzo Corvaia, a 15th century structure adorned with classic double windows. You will then proceed to the Greek theater, bult in the 3rd century BC. You will view Mt Etna from the Theater, and have free time to enjoy the arena and a leisurely walk back through town, visiting shops and enjoying gellato.

22: Mykonos, Greece, May 10 Ancient Delos, Tour duration: 4 hours A local boat will transport you on a 30 minute ride to the entrance of the site. You'll walk into the sanctuary where you'll see the temple of Apollo and the marble lions of Delos. You'll continue to the terrace of foreign gods, through the theater and walk into the mansions with mosaics on the floors and walls.
