BC: MTSU Study Abroad 2006 - Trip of a lifetime!

FC: MTSU Study Abroad 2006 Cherbourg & Paris

1: MTSU Study Abroad | After two planes, one bus, a nap on a train station floor, and one train ride, we arrived! | Cherbourg, France

2: Class has started! Cherbourg IUT College

3: We walked every where in this little town. There were beautiful winding streets, sidewalk caf├ęs, and all things European! | View from my third floor bedroom

5: New French Friends The Tabarnets & Le Sevens

6: Travel Buddy Virginia | Fun Times

7: Spent most of my time with Virginia. We had classes twice a day and weekend excursions. Our last week was spent in Paris!

8: Pink Elephants... Enough Said. | Lace Heritage Day | Our Smokers spent way too much on these things! :-)

9: Cooking crepes - I was actually good at it! We also learned how to set a table and make flower arrangements. | St. Malo's pirate heritage rubbed off a little | Fun times in and out of class | Cherise and Kaitlyn on Cooking day

10: Weekend Trip to the D-Day Beaches | Relaxing after class | Weekend Trips to St. Malo, Normandy, Bayeux, L'Hague, Grandville, Mont St. Michel and more!

13: Life in those three weeks found us in a Disney bunk hostel with a group of 8th graders across the hall, trying grapefruit ice cream, celebrating France's World Cup advances and spending time with our French families. | Playing on the beach in St. Malo just a block from the hostel. | A bottle for everyone and let's slide!

14: Leaving for Paris

15: Such a beautiful family! I was very lucky to have them as my host family. | Cheers to Paris

16: Sunset Cruise...great way to end my first day in Paris!

18: Champs Elysees | We walked and used the metro to traveled around Paris to see the sites like Versailles, Catacombs, D'Orsay, Louvre and more. | Luxembourg

19: Louvre | I did not meet the Phantom at the Paris Opera House but Box Five was visited. | Degas

20: Versailles Marble Courtyard and Rear Gardens | Old World Charm | Top of the Arc

21: Arc de Triomphe

22: Enjoying all the celebrations in France! I don't want to leave! Love Kris | Family Tennessee

23: We watched France compete for the 2006 World Cup, played at a carnival near the Louvre, and celebrated Bastille Day with fireworks at the Eiffel Tower

25: Our last night out was an all nighter with French MTSU exchange student Christophe taking me and Virginia to the fireworks and a dance club - we had a blast and looked forward to sleep!! | My backpack...packed with 4 bottles of wine for the young ones! | We are ready for the 10hr flight
