S: Sherman and Deanna's Honeymoon
BC: DEPARTED | CARNIVAL VALOR | 15 APR 2012
The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. St. Augustine | CARNIVAL VALOR | ARRIVED 21 DEC 2011
Key West, USA | KEY WEST Our first stop on the cruise was Key West. We decided to skip the regular tours and do some sightseeing. On our way we did a little shopping before running into the butterfly gardens. Everything was so peaceful and beautiful. After the long walk over, we were more than ready to catch a taxi back . We got onto a cart and made sure to stop for some key lime pie before heading back to the ship.
THE BUTTERFLY GARDEN Our main stop in Key West was the beautiful butterfly garden. Everything was so peaceful and serene, and the colors of the butterflies were incredible.
Grand Cayman | GRAND CAYMAN was the next stop on our ship. We decided to sign up for the land and sea tour, which showed the best Grand Cayman had to offer. We took a dive underwater in a submarine to watch a fish feeding before heading to "hell", home of some interesting rock formations. By far the most exciting part of our tour was Turtle Farm. There we got to see turtles of all ages and even hold a couple! Finally, our tour concluded with a trip to the Tortuga Rum factory, where we got to see different rum cakes and have a pate.

 TURTLE LOVE
The other stops on our tour included a trip to hell and under the sea. The submarine tour was the first stop in our itinerary. We passed two ship wrecks and witnessed a fish feeding that seemed to attract all the fish in the reef! We then spent some time in"hell," an area in Grand Cayman with mysterious rock formations. They even have a gift shop with a little "devil" inside. | FIRE AND WATER
I have wandered all my life, and I have also traveled; the difference between the two being this - that we wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfillment. Hilaire Belloc
 Our "Honeymoon" Cake
OUR FIRST FORMAL NIGHT We loved having an opportunity to dress up. Dinner also included a "honeymoon cake" and singing to celebrate our new beginnings.
OCHO RIOS, JAMAICA was the last stop on our island cruise tour and the most fascinating. We chose the Cayoba Gardens and Dunns River Falls tour. While the gardens were filled with a certain type of "creature" the scenery was absolutely beautiful. We also got fantastic views of the city such as the one on the left. Dunn's River Falls featured a massive waterfall that you could climb up and a sunny (but chilly) beach. It was nice relaxing on a beach again. Finally, we stopped in the shopping center where vendors tried to negotiate deals for the crafts. We were able to find a few fun souvenirs of our trip.
COYOBA GARDENS Did you know that the name means paradise garden? It was named so by the Indians who first lived there. C
DUNNS RIVER FALLS Where else can you say you have the opportunity to climb a real waterfall? The scenery here was breathtaking and the water very cold!
2ND FORMAL NIGHT Our second formal night gave us the opportunity dress up again and experience a great show.
