S: New York 2012
From Tulsa to Detroit was great! I was patted down in security... and checked my hands for explosive residue....Kind of funny. We did have a little bit of a delay, but made it just in time to board for our next flight. Detroit to Newburgh, was a bit tougher. I sat by a stinky lady who should have bought two seats. Short flight though. James was waiting on us when we finally made it! It was so great seeing him again! | 4-11-2012
First thing I did was break James coffee pot. He fixed it and we had some energy bars and got going. To get on base we had to show our ID,s. Because we were with a hot shot guy, they didn't search us.Normally everyone who goes through is searched along with their cars! | He gave us a tour of the town, and showed us where his friend Heather lives. The town is beautiful! We went to the Cadet store. It was really cool, great prices on everything! All three of us left with some great souvenirs! James also showed us the racing routes that he has taken!
Talk about some hill training! When he gets home he will be able to really gets some great times with our flat courses! The river in the pictures is THE Hudson river! | 4-12-2012
James really wanted us to try Prima Pizza, rumored to be the best pizza ever. Well, the pizza may be awesome, but we didn't try it. There was NO service! So we left.
James next choice was the Village Pizzeria. It wasn't as cool looking as Primas, but the service was outstanding! The pizza was the best pizza I have ever had. If Primas is better, I am not sure I could stand it! Oh, and something different for us, All the restaurants have garlic powder out with the salt and pepper! | First time for Garlic knots.... Yummy!
 Orange County Choppers
We watched most of these bikes being made on the show! So cool to be able to look at them in person!
We looked over and saw a sign that said "Viewing area" We were able to go watch the activity going on behind the scenes...
We were able to see Paul Sr., Jason, Jim, Rick (hottie), and Mike working on a project!
Jenny runs Mikeys Studio and was very nice. We chatted with her for quite a while. She gave us quite a bit of insight on Mikey's family. She had James leave him a note saying he noticed his weight loss. That not many people had noticed it!
 Paul Jr Designs
With no retail store we could only look from the front gate!
James took us to his favorite place to eat. The owner bought us a pitcher of beer. The food was amazing!
After we had dinner we went to James friends house for drinks. I didn't get any pictures though. We were able to spend some time with Heather and her husband Rob, and some of James other friends. Everyone was very gracious. It was a nice visit. Just wish I had some pictures!!!
4-13-2012 | West Point from the train! It is so beautiful! | Boats by James house
First look of New York City!
We took a cab to the 9/11 Memorial, or as we Okies still call it, Ground Zero. It was really amazing to see this in person. I kept having the attack go through my mind. To see all the names of the people who died in the attack around the fountains was heartbreaking.
We walked to the little church that was left untouched by the attack, St Pauls Chapel. They had a prayer service while we were there. after the service I saw the banner from Oklahoma. As James said, "No one understands the pain more than an Oklahoman."
We are on the way to see the Statue of Liberty!
 Venus In Fur
They didn't allow pictures, so of course I snapped off a couple. This was so much fun. I would love to see it again!
Tiffany's looked nice...Lucky for Kelly, I don't like to shop!
