BC: R. M. Gibson was born during the Great Depression and grew up on a small Indiana farm. After high school, he served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and later graduated from Indiana University. Following a long career with major companies in New York and elsewhere across the U. S., he was an officer with a bank in Texas. In 1986, he and his educator wife relocated to Europe and for the next 26 years lived in Spain and Luxembourg. During this time, Mr. Gibson turned to writing, and his books can be found at But an avid photographer since high school, the photos here were taken during his years in Europe. Having traveled worldwide for more than 40 years, he has also amassed a major collection of print images that were taken with 35mm equipment.
