FC: This photo was me and Matthew during a activity in Outdoor Ed. This activity made us hold a block on our back and he had to get up on ore feet with out the block falling down. | Memories of Outdoor Ed
It just seemed like another ordinary school field trip, until SCREECH. The bus stopped. Everyone sprinted out of the buses. “Welcome to Covenant Heights, Estes Park ,Colorado.” said a guy named Dave a little after we got there. This one of my favorite memories in my whole entire life. Right before I left I had many thoughts like: Who would be my roommates? Was the food going to be decent? Was going to get sick? The trip was amazing, even the meals were excellent. My roommates were friends of mine, and I did not get sick. My most favorite memories from Outdoor ED were the dramatic zipline, the yummy meals, and the stupendous survival game.
This is a picture of a pavilion that we meant at after every activity. We came when a bell ringed. This area was where we filled up are water bottle.
This was the playground where played at after every meal. This had the dumb gaga ball pit, and a basketball. They had swings and a volleyball pit.
This was a picture of the church. The church is where we had geology. The church was a empty building and had many stacked chairs.
The meals were out of this world. I was surprised, at first, that the meals were actually edible. The best meal that I ate there was the chicken pot pie. Another good piece of food was the pizza. Of the topping options, I thought the pepperoni was the best. As for breakfast, the bacon was absolutely delicious. Well, I think all bacon is amazing. At one meal, I got to eat first because I was wearing a Cardinals hat. The drinks were just alright. I was disappointed that we just got juice. It would have been better if we could have had soda.
This was the cafeteria. We had all are meals here. the best was the chicken pop pie. All the meals were good.
This is us lining up for lunch. That lunch was meatball sub. It was alright, it could have been better.
This was their pizza. They had sausage pizza, pepperoni pizza, and Mexican pizza. All were squared pieces.
My room was pretty fun, too. Luke, one of my roommates, screamed in his sleep on the first night. Zicole was snoring all night and kept us all UP!!!!!!!!! Justin was scared of the silent and dead of night, which also kept us awake. The second night, Justin farted in the room. It smelled like someone died in there. It was so bad that Jacob and Andrew sprayed deodorant all across the room. The deodorant only made things worse. We had to evacuate the room. It might not sound like a fun time, but my roommates’ sleep-talking,snoring, gas explosions, and hysterical reactions to everything made Outdoor Ed very entertaining.
This was my room. We got the smallest room. We also had the most people. The bunk beds looked like they will clasps. They were not sturdy at all.
This was the boys cabin. It had a living room with a dead T.V. It also had rooms for adults and two bath rooms. The shower's were hard to control
This was the line up to go inside our cabins and pack up are stuff. People lift many stuff like boxers are socks. We had to line up here again. This was right after lunch.
One of the most fun games while we were there was the survival game. The 6th grade students pretended to be elk, and the teachers pretended to be wolves. The Outdoor Ed staff pretended to be food and water. The camp staff hid from us, and they kept moving around. They were hard to find. We had to run from teachers (wolves) because they hunted us down with squirt guns while we were trying to find the camp staff (food and water). If we got shot, we had to give the teachers our life card, and go get a new one. I got shot twice by the squirt guns. I had found some food, but the teachers had positioned themselves nearby. That was the first time that I was shot. Then I got hit again near the the water because the wolves were also in the area. I was able to catch water once or twice. I almost caught food, too. The survival game was the best game we played there.
These were the teacher's before the survival game. They mostly got kids out in the numbers between 30 and 40. Most got people out between 10 and 20.
This was Dr. Sizes getting kids out he got the most out. His total number was 39. He got me out to.
These were kids walking back to get a life card. Their is a teacher sneaking up on it's next victim. Many people got out from being surprised.
Outdoor E.D was super fun. Why would anyone want to leave? The food was tasty, and night time was really fun. The deadly survival game was always on the wire, meaning that it was intense the whole time we played. Everything at outdoor ED was amazing, thrilling and a highlight of my life.
This was us ready to go. All the goods were packed up. We had to sit for a long time
This was a bus leaving Outdoor Ed. This bus was the last one to leave. Which was like 3 seconds after the other one.
This was Connor Powel's mother holding up a sing to welcome him back. It was really odd, and embarrassing for him. He left shortly after the bus landed.
