FC: Cross Country Move to Seattle | Summer 2012
HI everyone!!! Finally! Day 1 of our cross country trip! After losing the key to our good ole truck, trying to stuff all the stuff into the 20 ft space (HUGE thanks the mother-in-laws!! We could still be trying to fit the cooler in there!!), and sniffing our last tears in Lakewood, we finally pulled out at 1:20!! So far bh all is good, just one wrong turn, one broken windshield wiper, a massive rainstorm we waited out, and one hugely poopy diaper, we arrived in Pittsburgh, PA at 9:45! Thanks for all the advice, encouragement, and help!! Facts of the day: - 11 cops -no Volkswagen beetles/punch-bugies -way too many 18 wheelers to count -1 traffic jam -no road kill\ -1 Jew twice (Elias from Montreal!) -2 uncle moishy cds - (thank you Uncle Ding and Tanta Sara! Missin ya'll from the UHual! Baby Huda and CO
 Chicago, Illinois
THAT WAY | GO THIS WAY | Hi everyone! Today was a-lot easier than yesterday. We left Pittsburgh at 11 am, and arrived in Chicago at 7:15 Chicago time! We had an awesome time cruizin' our way through cornfields. Nothing else exciting happened! Huda behaved very nicely. He is a real truckah! We are iy"h off to Minnesota tomorrow after picking up our meat from Romanian (thanks Tully and Riva!) Road Facts: 22 Uhauls 28 police cars (17 today) 2 speeders over 90 2 Volkswagen beetles 1 train 0 roadkill 2,984 1/2 corn fields! Missin ya'll from the u-haul!! Baby Huda and Co
Mall of America | Minneapolis, Minnesota
Hi everyone!! We had a really nice, relaxing Shabbos at the Waxman's. We enjoyed Mall of America, Breadsmith, and Little Tel Aviv restaurant. We drove 6 hours today to Chamberlain, South Dakota. the Great Plains stretch out as far as you can see, with cornfields, cows, and dilapidated barns dotting the countryside. The most interesting things about South Dakota are the billboards advertising coffee for 5 cents. We stopped in Sioux Fall, South Dakota to eat lunch next to a waterfall. We thought it was one of the bigger cities in South Dakota...It probably had a population of 50...
 Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Bad Lands National Park, South Dakota
 mt Rushmore
Hi everyone! We had an awesome, long day and got to the hotel really, really late! Today we went to Badlands Nat'l Park, then to Mt Rushmore, Bear Country USA (a safari), then we passed through the town Sturgis, SD where there was a Harley Davidson motorcycle rally, and we saw more motorcycles than all the people in South Dakota! We are sleeping in Buffalo, Wyoming tonight!
 To Cody, WY
Howdy y'all!!! We are having a grand time in Cody, WY! We did a quick spontaneous switch of plans, and decided to rent a car in Wyoming and drive to a town an hr from Yellowstone, instead of going straight to Montana. We got a free upgrade to an SUV, and its a good thing cuz we dumped half the u-haul in! Wyoming is absolutely gorgeous, and has loads of personality! We got to Cody, had a BBQ in a park, and then went to an awesome rodeo! Tomorrow we are off to Yellowstone Nat'l Park! Road Facts: 1 cop 65 total (that almost pulled us over but apparently didn't have patience to turn around and chase after us) 7 uhauls 57 total 3 beetles 12 total 26 roadkill 37 total 539 horses Missin y'all from the u-haul! Baby Huda and Co
Yellowstone National PARK | Hi everyone!! First of all, very exciting news!! Baby Huda stood up by himself(with the support of the bed posts) this evening!! Yay!!! Today we went to Yellowstone, and did most of the main sights in less than 8 hours -really spectacular scenery and geysers and loads of bison! Just a little warning - if you ask an Asian to take picture for you, all his friends and extended family will whip out their million dollar cameras and start snapping pictures | of you as well. We noticed they take pictures of everything they see... We are really happy we decided to extend our road trip... if not we'd be moving today! Tomorrow we will hang around Cody is and relax, and then we will go back to Sheridan where the good ole u-haul is, and sleep there!

Hi everyone! Shabbos in Montana was beautiful, and we met a lot of interesting people! Friday we went to the only zoo in Montana... the saddest zoo we've ever been too! there was a grand total of 6 animals there. One was dead, the other was at an educational meeting (??!!) the third was visiting another zoo, which left three. the tiger was sleeping, but the bears and snakes made up for everyone else. Huda was very entertained!! Today we drove a grand total of 575 miles in 11 hours (really 12, but there was a time difference).... we passed through Montana, Idaho, and finally.. Washington state!! we are now an hour and 45 minutes away from Seattle! Tomorrow is moving day! It is hard to believe this day has finally come... But we enjoyed our vacation (yes! it was a vacation!!) and are excited to move to the next stage. (I think Huda is more excited than both of us!)
