S: Road Trip - Summer 2012
3: Saturday, July 28 | After finding out about our pregnancy, we stopped just thinking about our cross country trip and planned it! On July 27th, we dropped Reesie off at a friend's, picked up the rental (Super Corolla) and packed our bags into our sweet new ride. At 8:00 AM on Saturday, we left York for a twelve day journey to Las Vegas!!

7: Wauseon, OH to Des Moines, IA | Driving through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Iowa We saw plenty of farm equipment, wind mills and trucks. The RV Hall of Fame was closed but we spent part of the afternoon at the World's Largest Truck Stop, and got to cross the Mighty Mississippi.
8: Monday, July 30
9: Des Moines, IA through Nebraska to Fort Morgan, CO | The journey from Iowa to Colorado made for a very long, flat day. We drove through Gothenburg to try to find the Pony Express Station, but it was nowhere to be found. The Sod House Museum got Andrea excited when she saw buffalo in front, until she saw they were fake. Boredom quickly set in...

18: Elk Sirloin from Juicy Lucy's | View from the hotel room | Day 1 in the Wild West was amazing. The views blew us away. We spent time at the top of mountains and driving along the meandering river of Glenwood Canyon. It wasn't easy to think of leaving Colorado, but Utah was the next journey...

21: The pregnancy made it tough for Andrea to climb those steps to the top, but at the end it was worth it!

26: Zion National Park (Springdale), AZ to Williams, AZ | Friday, August 3
29: Escaping the Arizona heat | Zion National Park was a beautiful drive-through park that had a shuttle to the depths of the canyon. We ventured to the end of the shuttle and continued to walk. Temperatures were easily over 100, but as we traveled deeper into the rock we felt the temp drop dramatically.

33: The morning started at Zion National Park and ended at the Grand Canyon. The haze across the canyon gave us the most beautiful view, and we decided to come back again the following day to see the canyon with a bit more clarity.

39: The first views of Vegas | We arrived in Las Vegas around 10:00 AM on Sunday. Even during the day, the strip was stunning! And 109 degrees!! From York to Vegas 8 days 3096.9 miles 50+ pee stops and totally worth every mile
