FC: PARADISE | Secret Garden Journal Jake #22 Historical Fiction Book Report

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. St. Augustine | Mary's Journal Historical Fiction Book Report Jake #22 Mrs. Burnett's Class

02/11/1878. Dear Journal, Mary is a very sour child who doesn't really care for anyone. That is probably because no one cares for her. During her early childhood she didn't get much attention mostly because her mother complained that she had better things to do. Also, her servant did not like mary because she, as the servant was not allowed to let her cry so she had to give her whatever she wanted. These are some of the reasons why mary is such a sour child. Sincerely, Mary

Date:feb/14/10,000000000000000000000000000 BC. Dear journal, A terrible thing just happened to me, all of my servants and my parents died, and there is no one left to take care of me. When I figured this out, I was so surprised that I couldn't even express it. I knew very little about how they died, but all I remember is that a lot of people were coughing. I sat in my room for about fifteen minutes before people came in to investigate when they came into my room I scared them almost to death. ` Sincerly, Mary

Travel and change of place impart new vigor to the mind. Seneca | (entry#3) date:feb/15/10,000000000000000000000000000 BC. Dear journal, Hey this is the narrator and I want to tell you one interesting thing that has happened so far in the book. Well, I think the most interesting thing that has happened so far is that her parents died and she doesn't really care. I just find that kind of weird and interesting, but I can also see how she would not care considering that her parents did not really care for her.

(entry#4) date:feb/16/10,000000000000000000000000000 BC. Dear journal, Hello this is the narrator again, I want to tell you another interesting thing but, this one is from the middle of the story so lets get started. One thing that is interesting to me is that I don't get why Archibold Craven doesn't want anyone to know besides the servants that he has a son. For some reason he thinks that he will grow up to be a hunchback like him.`

(Entry#5) Date Feb/17/1878[ Dear journal, we figured out how to get colon into the garden but when we got into the garden mr. Ben Weatherstaff climbed over the wall into the secret garden and caught us playing in it. We were very startled by him after a wile of explaining we finally convinced him to keep quiet.

(Entry#6) Date:10,0000000000000000000000000000000 BC. Dear journal, If I could meet Mary, the main character in the secret garden, I would first teach her a lesson on how to not be a brat, and what I would do is tell her that you would be loved if you are nice to people. I would also (well, once she understands) I would help her make her secret garden.
