S: Preparing a Place to Worship at Singini in Ghana
BC: This is a story about a Pastor named Ibrahim Sampana who told people about Jesus in a village named Singini and about people who helped them have a place to worship. It is a story of faith, hope, and love.
FC: The people of Singini thank you for their church in the African bush in the Northern Region in Ghana in West Africa.
The people of Singini prayed, praised God and worshiped to dedicate the site of the new church.
The people of Singini cleared the land of sticks, rocks, and bushes to get ready for construction.
Bags of concrete were purchased and delivered to the work site. Lumber was shipped from down south and delivered by taxi. Block moulds & tools were purchased.
Sand and gravel were delivered to the work site. The women carried water for concrete. Pastor Kofi Boakye checks depth of foundation above. The church was built on a strong foundation!
Every block was made and cured on site.
The walls to the church began to go up in March 2011. We also provided food for the masons, mixers, and volunteers who built the church.
Walter Hughes, Jon Morris, and Kenny Lovelace walked five miles to see the church being built.
They sang about their love of Jesus Christ. The music was to the beat of the drums or a homemade guitar (below). The children were alert and listening. The children also loved to dance and sing.
The children came out to greet us. Singini is peaceful with a full moon. Jon Morris looks at the church walls.
 We preached Christ.
We greeted and later baptized the chief.
Every person's name was written in the book before they were baptized.
It was wonderful to be there to celebrate baptism.
We baptized ninety-seven people in Singini alone in March and November 2011.
The walls dried for one month before the roof was added. A major milestone was reached in April 2011 when the roof was complete.
Pastor Ibrahim Sampana rode his bike five miles each way to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He didn't ask permission. He just shared the Good News. The people of Singini bring their Bibles to worship in their new church.
We bought benches for the church. Many of the children will sit at our feet as we preached.
View is from church window. The stucco was finished in September and the floor was completed in November 2011.
The borehole in Domsesere provides water in central Ghana to a very poor community.
Singini now has a place to worship God. It is a community without a road, but not without a church! Thank you!
