 A beautiful day in Homer
All you need for a perfect day in Homer is sunshine, rocks to throw in the bay, a hill to roll down and some good fish and chips. We had it all.
Salmon Fishing in Resurection Bay was a highlight for all of us. Porpoises and sea otters played around us as we caught 3 big fish.
 Seward, Alaska
Samantha's Favorite Memories Playing with the doll house at Grandma's house Fishing with Grandpa Watching Cinderella Going down the water slide on Daddy's lap Riding a bike for the first time without training wheels Jumping on the trampoline with Tristen and Kalista
Grant & Joan's Favorite Memories Eating a lot of seafood Observing the unique scene at the end of the Homer spit Looking at old Moses family photos Going to church with Mom and Dad Watching Mom and Dad playing with the kids and seeing the kids loving every minute of it
The Kenai River a fisherman's paradise right in our own backyard
The Kenai River was the perfect place to take Samantha on her first fishing expedition. Her experienced fishing guide was Grandpa who aided her in catching two monster trout. Daddy went along for the ride.
We set out on foot and wheels from Grandma and Grandpa's house and hiked through the winding trails along the Kenai River. We met a recycled metal moose along the way, and the boys battled with stick swords and guns to pass the time.
To Grandma and Grandpa this is an everyday dog-walk. To us this is what we think of when we remember the beauty of Alaska.
Our last stop before leaving was a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where we found ourselves closer than we've ever been to animals in their natural environment.
Alaska has a special place in the hearts of all of us; for Grant who grew up there, and now for our kids who have expreienced it for themselves.
Thank you Mom and Dad for helping us create these memories. | Grant, Joan, Matthew, Lance & Samantha | Love,
