S: My Year of Disney Nov 2007 - Sep 2008
BC: One of my favorite places to visit is Walt Disney World in Florida. I have been about twenty time since 1976. People almost always aske the same two questions: Don't you get tired of going? And: Isn't it really just for kids? The answer to both of these questions is- NO! I can explain my love affair with Disney. I know the quality of my vacation. There is a wide variety of activities, it's safe, reliable, and most importantly every trip is different. Over the past few years I've become more interested in Disney's Festivals. These special events are the perfect excuse for repeat trips to visit my favorite Mouse. Michael
FC: MyYear of Disney Three Trips in less than 12 months
1: From November 2007 through September 2008, I managed to visit Disney THREE times in less than twelve months! The first trip was a solo in November. In May, I took Mom to Disney for her birthday during the Flower & Garden Festival. The last trip, in September, was with Danielle. Her first trip as an "adult."
2: Traveling Solo A lot of people may feel a little uncomfortable traveling to Disney alone. I loved it. I really enjoyed being able to change plans at the drop of a hat without worrying about what everyone wanted or needed to do. It really felt like a vacation! | Port Orleans French Quarter This was my first stay in POFQ. I loved the compact layout. My room was truly a stone's throw from both the bus stop and the food court. The resort was beautiful.
3: Disney's Animal Kingdom | This was my first trip with my new DSLR. DAK is a great place to try it out!
4: You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway. ~Walt Disney | It always makes my heart smile...
5: No matter how many times I visit, I always look forward to my next Disney trip. | This trip was one of the best vacations I had ever taken. I loved the resort, I loved being solo, I loved relazing. | (l to r) Cinderella's Castle, Tree of Life, Main Street USA, Big Thuder Mountain Railroad | (l to r) On the path from Fort Wilderness to Wilderness Lodge, Walt Disney Railroad, little green men, Tomorrowland, Port Orleans Riverside
6: For Mom's birthday trip, we flew to Orlando for a long weekend. We stayed at the amazing Boardwalk Inn and enjoyed the Flower & Garden Festival.
7: Mom's best friend from high school, Pam, lives in the Orlando area. For Mom's birthday dinner we joined Pam and her son, Rubert, at Ohana at the Polynesian Resort. The food was amazing and a great way to celebrate Mom's birhday!
10: When I started planning my Sept-ember trip, I asked my niece Danielle if she wanted to go. Of course she said, "YES!" We stayed at POP! Century- and loved it!
11: Memories Let's just say this trup had some interesting "events." First, I blew the tread on three of my four tires about two hours from Disney. Second, Danielle got the worst blister in the history of mankind on the first day. Third, we had the best time- it's DISNEY!
12: Good Times!! | We won Dream Mickey Ears!
