Neither the Field of Stars Nor the large cathedrals It is not the ferocity of Navarre Or the wine of La Rioja Or shellfish in Galicia The castles or fields. Pilgrim, who calls you? What hidden force attracts you? Neither the people of the Way Nor the rural customs. It is not the history and the culture, Nor the cock of Calzada Nor the palace of Gaudi Nor Catillo Ponferrada. Everything I see is passing, And in everything it is a joy to see, But the voice that calls to me I feel much more deeply. The force that pushes me The force that attracts me, I will not explain, God only knows | from a poem on a wall near Logorono | A 1000 years tradition, across 800 kilometers, mountain passes, rivers and the great Meseta, through vineyards, forests and grain fields,80 villages and 3 cities have led two more pilgrims in 35 days to the house of St Jacques the apostle on 23 May 2009
