FC: First family trip to India

1: Strange being here with my child | Hyderabad, India | Home again

7: Reconnecting with old friends and meeting new - it's always great to be back home...with an addition (Bella) | Bella learning the fine art of meeting new people

11: My favorite thing about going back home, besides seeing family and friends, is the food! It always tastes better at home | Real Marathi food | Nothing compares to the real stuff | Tastes of India | Street food

15: Indians - Rs. 5 Foreigners - Rs. 100 | History of Charminar | One of the best shopping spots in Hyderabad. Fridays are very crowded...only the brave venture in... | Sam touristing

16: The morning commute can be rough - better have your gear in place

17: Getting some laundry done with water leaking from pipes | This ox doesn't seem worried about the commute - he must have the day off

18: ABOVE: the land of the two-wheelers...and three wheelers RIGHT: Just didn't have enough room for his other leg

19: Traveling in India is always a risky adventure - at least we have excellent brakes...they've saved many a life | Traffic - on a good day

20: Uncle's van - came in very handy for last minute errands and just going for a drive | vans, trains and autorickshaws (from the outside)

27: We did a couple touristy things, but for the most part just kept busy with regular 'life" stuff | Making coir mats to keep the inside cool | View from our terrace | Hanging coir mats - should keep heat out

31: Dear Childhood, I miss you. Wish i would have taken the time to really appreciate you. Now you're gone and i have to be "responsible". Maybe i can re-live you through my children and teach them to appreciate this time in their lives. Thanks for the memories, | where's the bowler? | pick up game of cricket, a.k.a. gully cricket in a small field just outside our colony | always ready for a photo opportunity

33: Never in need of people to hold Bella. Of course, mum and dad were around just in case | Always happy in Daddy's arms | Loves getting dressed up

37: Bella loved taking baths...she could sit in those buckets for hours. If i had one of those, i would too | Wish i had a large pot to take a bath in | BATH TIME | No place for bath toys (Uncle Danny's elephant from 30 years ago) | Out of buckets? no problem, large pots work too

38: Mom - doctor's assistant | Free one-day eye clinic | When it's free - word gets out fast

39: Always awed by such stark contrasts living side by side | Dear all, Flew into India, ate dinner and checked over 200 eyes...going to shut mine now. Love, Dr. Chinn | Still waiting after dusk

41: Other moments (opp.) So hard to say goodbye - and they weren't trying to make it easy | Non-passengers were kept away by this fence | Couldn't even give a proper kiss goodbye
