S: Washington D.C. & New York City 2011

BC: The Patton Family Vacation

1: Our Trip to Washington D.C. and New York City was great. We all had so much fun & we learned a lot. 2011 | Washington DC | New York City

2: Our 1st Day in Washington D.C. started at Union Station.

3: U.S. Postal Museum

4: World War II Memorial | Korean Memorial

5: WW 11 Memorial | Vietnam Wall | "The Wall"

6: Lincoln Memorial

7: Washington Monument | Jefferson Memorial

8: Arlington National Cemetery | President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis grave site.

9: At Arlington National Cemetery the Flag always flies at half mast. There are funeral services daily. Over 330,000 American Soldiers are buried here.

12: The painted ceiling in The Capitol | Inside

13: The Capitol

15: We talked with 2 U.S. Senators and a Congressman outside of The Capitol Building. The kids all had a great time while we waited.

16: We made pictures in front of the White House.

18: National Cathedral | I just loved the feeling in this place. It is so awesome to be inside a building where so many people have come to worship our Lord and Savior.

19: Washington D.C | The National Cathedral was one of our Favorite stops. It was so beautiful. The stained glass windows were breath taking! One of them has a Moon Rock placed in it from the 1st trip to the Moon. | Moon Rock window. | The back ground of this page is a photo of the round stained glass on the front of the Cathedral.

24: The Lincoln Tunnel!!! We made it!!! Ready or not NYC here we come!

26: Now on to The Big Apple!!! | A Beautiful day at Central Park!

27: Rockefeller Center | We had a great time in NYC. So much to do... so little time.

29: Our day at the Statue of Liberty was one we will always remember. Ellis Island was really cool to see and hear about. I do not think any of us realized what people went through to come here from other lands.

31: We had live entertainment while we waited in line. When he found out we were from Ga. He played Georgia on my mind | We tried to stay warm while we waited.

32: Saint Patrick's Cathedral.

34: Central Park

35: Times Square | We stayed right here in Times Square. Very Busy streets.... The City that never sleeps!!!

36: THE BIG APPLE | We saw a road race going through Central Park.

37: We had fun at Central Park!

38: "Beau and Blake got to see a lot of their favorite characters from "Night at the Museum". Rex, Dexter, Dumb Dumb and The Little Indians were on the "A List" | "Dexter" | "Little Indians"

39: "Dumb Dumb you give me gum gum!"

40: Our Day at The Museum!

41: The American Museum of Natural History is one of our favorites! We wanted to see how many things were there that were in The Night at the Museum Movie. | American Museum of Natural History
