S: Oregon 2011
FC: Bruce & Roberta's Excellent Adventure to Oregon 2011
We left Lincoln on July 7, 2011. Our first stop was Minturn, a cute little mountain town in Colorado. We stayed at the Minturn Inn.
Our next destination was Moab, Utah. After arriving at our B&B, we headed out for Canyonlands National Park not far from Moab.
The Cali Cochitta B&B in Moab, Utah
We spent one day and part of an evening driving around Arches Park just outside of Moab. It was a beautiful day in the 80s. The park is awesome!
We drove through Idaho on our way to Oregon and stayed in Meridian. It was a boring drive, but Sierra Trading Post had a store in Meridian, so all was not lost. On day 5 we arrived at Barry and Barb's place in West Linn, Oregon.
Barry and Barb's artistic neighbor has an eclectic style in her yard that we enjoyed touring.
We spent a few days in a rental house near the beach in Manzanita. It is a small quaint town with interesting shops, restaurants and homes.
The ocean was just a few blocks away from our rental house and just one block from the main street.
Bruce and Joel get their grill on. Sarah and Adam sitting on their front porch.
We left Oregon on Friday, July 15 and headed to Missoula, MT. The scenery on the way was gorgeous. We stayed in Missoula and headed to Gardiner the next day.
We stayed at Yellowstone Suites B&B which was just ok. The town of Gardiner was kind of funky, but close to Yellowstone.
We spent two days touring Yellowstone. We didn't see very many animals, but the scenery was gorgeous, plus we got up to 14,000 feet and saw snow!
 Old Faithful
One of our favorite B&B's was the Southfork B&B in Cody, Wyoming. We stayed there one night. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Plus he was a great cook.
We finally reached Nebraska on Day 12. We stopped for a day at Ft. Robinson. We stayed in the lodge and enjoyed a chuckwagon dinner!
No trip through western Nebraska would be complete without a stop at Carhenge!
