FC: Vermont October 2010
2: Green Mountain Inn
3: After our lengthy road trip, we arrived at our hotel - the Green Mountain Inn. We checked in and headed over to our suite! Our room was amazing with a jacuzzi right next to the huge canopy bed!
4: We ventured over to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, a popular tourist attraction, where cider is pressed on a traditional rack and cloth press. We even enjoyed some fresh donuts!
6: Green Mountain Coffee Visitor Center | This visitor center is nestled inside the historic Waterbury train station We had fun with the many interactive exhibits!
7: We also spent some time at one of the many Cabot Cheese shops sampling different types of cheese. On the way, we saw several animals and at night, we went to an adorable movie theater.
8: Ben and Jerry's
9: One of the highlights of the trip was our stop at Ben and Jerry's the next morning. We could really learn to live by their motto: Peace, Love, and Ice Cream!
10: The Tour &
11: We took a guided tour of the ice cream facility and then walked down the infamous Hall of Fame! | Hall of Fame
12: Cows &
13: Cabot | There was no shortage of livestock on our drive to the Cabot Visitor Center. When we arrived, we toured the complex and had all the cheese we could eat!
14: Downtown Stowe
15: We spent the rest of the day walking around the downtown shops and infamous covered bridge. At night, we had a delicious dinner at Harrison's.
16: Trapp Family Lodge
17: The next day, we took a ride to the Trapp Family Lodge. The views from the top of the resort were amazing. There were even a few family members roaming the property!
18: Scenic Stowe
19: We stopped to take some pictures at a scenic spot near our hotel. The changing leaves provided a colorful background.
20: We grabbed a quick lunch at a 50's diner and then it was time to make the trek back. We can't wait to visit Vermont again!
