FC: Allyson Brown | Adventures of Perseus

1: Long ago there was a king named Acrisus. He wanted a son more than anything. | Instead he was gifted a daughter. Wanting to know he visits Delphi asking if he will have a son.

2: The orcale foretold that he would not have a son, however his daughter would have a son who would take over his throne.

3: "The roof open to the sky so that light and air could come through." | Scared of what was told he locks Danae in a bronze tower under the earth to protect his title as king

4: Afraid for his life, he set Danae and her son away in a chest out to sea. | Eventually, a fisherman, Dictys found them and helped them out, and took them to his home, caring for them like they were his own.

5: Polydectes, was the ruler of the island they landed on and soon fell in love with Danae. | All about the journey | Polydectes, then said he wanted the head of a Gorgon more than anything in the world, Perseus then decided he was going to get it.

6: Traveled to Dodona , to the land of Talking Oak Trees. | Hermes and Athena, where protecting Perseus , and helped him to the Grey Women.

7: Perseus grabbed the eye at the perfect moment, and refused to return the eye until they told him how to reach the Nymphs of the North | Hermes and Athena both greatly helped Perseus by gifting him with a sword strong to cut through gorgon scales. Also given a bronze shield to be able to see Medusa without turned into stone

8: When visiting the Nymphs of the North they gifted Perseus with three important items. Winged Sandals, A magical wallet and a cap of invisibility

9: He finally arrived to the Terrible Sisters' Island where he found Medusa fast asleep. | Carefully, using his shield and his winged sandals he hovered above Medusa. In a swift motion, he had her head inside his wallet and disappeared into the darkness wearing the cap.

10: On his way back home, he saw a maiden Andromeda. she was on a rocky ledge chained there waiting to be eaten by a monster. Instantly falling in love with her. He waited for the sea monster to come and when it did he cut the head off, and returned home with Andromeda. They then fell in love and got married. Perseus was soon later involved in an Athletic contest, he threw a heavy missile, striking Acrisius , the blow was fatal ending in the death of Acrisius. The Prophecy in the end was proved true, and their troubles came to an end, and they lived happily..
