FC: TO TRAVEL IS TO LIVE.
Our Favorite City. | We will never forget. | Dearest Tina, Words cannot express how proud I am of you! You are so faithful and fearless traveling to an unknown area to serve the Lord. I am SO happy that you listened to God’s call and obeyed Him. My hearts swells with and my soul leaps when I think about it. You are going into battle where many have fought before you and many more will fight after you. Be sure to daily put on your armor which is Christ. He goes before you preparing things in advance and will be with you UNTIL the END. Know that although you are taking 1 bag for 5months, you are WELL equipped and clothed with prayers and protection from your fellow humble saint. I love you Tina bear! GO, FIGHT, WIN! Love with ALL my heart, Tami Hays Ps. There are additional letters that are for you to open when 1) you miss home, 2) need encouragement, 3) feeling sick, 4) overly happy, 5) sad to leave. Open whichever one you need at the time and read as often as you would like. :) Each letter is accompanied by several verses and correlating songs on your IPod. There are also a few random letters for your enjoyment. :) PPs. Enjoy the collection of several other letters from people who love you.
Hey Tina, So I wanted to just let you know how excited I am for what God's gonna do in and through you in London! Expect big things and God will meet you exactly at those expectations! I've told you this before but its worth saying it again, when I look at you I so hope that when I have my own daughters they will grow to be like you in so many ways, that they would have a servant's heart and also very high standards and self worth. You inspire me! So continue to inspire others! I will always remember the good times we had at Kids Club and also doing speaking for Real options! Continue to let your light shine and don't be afraid if God stretches your time in missions (just felt like I needed to say that...ha!), be open and always pursue the voice of God on the things He calls you to do for His sake. I know this is not a goodbye but simply a see you later! Ill be praying for you! God bless! - Jorge Rivas

You've grown up so much over the time that I've known you and now you are soops mature and lady-like! God has huge plans for you, and I know that you will follow Him in everything you do. You stand as an example to me of humility, full commitment to Jesus, and perseverance in obedience to Him. I love you so much and I will miss you extremely as you stay in England! But I know that this is part of God's plan for you. :) I know you may be nervous due to this new change, especially the move! Here's just a little something from your Father; your Creator; your Love: "'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’" (Isaiah 41:10 NASB) Love, Nick Millsap, your brothhha

Our bags are full. | Let the journey begin
Dear Tina! I don't really know where to start as I don't write letters really ever. So Ill start with saying I’m so excited you get to go to London!!!!! I went a few years ago and it was one of the best times of my life. I hope yours is too. Remember your blessed by your parents and God and anyone else who helped make this happen and allow you to go overseas. Having that said I suppose this is my advice since I have already been there, here we go 1. Never roam the streets at night alone without a group of people. Its really sketchy as you'll find out really quick. Haha 2. Drinking age is 18 over there. So I know you're over 18 and all but don't get too drunk and never let a guy buy you a drink if you decided you want to drink. Enough said there. 3. I have compiled a checklist of places to visit while you're there. Make sure to hit them all! | In London Tower of London London Eye London Bridge Big Ben/ Parliament Building Millennium Bridge Trafalgar Square St. Paul’s Cathedral (go to the top) Harrods Shopping Mall Kings Cross Railway station (platform 9 ) Shakespeare’s Dome Buckingham Palace Hyde Park Use the railway system | Random Places Stonehenge Whitehorse Mountain Shakespeare’s House C.S. Lewis House Windsor Castle | Oxford University Oxford Library Church of Christ (Inspiration for Harry Potter) | Yeah thats all I have for you now. Just remember to always go out with friend you make. Really just make the most of the time you have over there because it will quickly be gone before you know it! Hit me up if you need any tips on places to go out at night :P Sincerely, Chris Smith
Dear Tina! What an amazing year it will be for you! You have grown up into a lovely and inspiration young lady. You're always the one with a ready smile and laugh to share. Thank you for bringing that gift to me and my family over the years. You are a special lady and I know you will bring these gifts to England as well. Psalm 37:23 The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him. You are a delight to be around and enrich the lives of the people around you. The lord will guide your steps as you enter a new and exciting place! Your are strong and independent in the Lord. Love you and will be praying for you! Jessica Allen

Dearest Beans, The hardest thing I could ever do is write a letter that does our friendship any justice. The hardest part of you leaving for 6 months will be not receiving best friend hugs on demand. No one can ever replace the Tina bear bear hugs. Except for real bears. Hmm, I want a bear. Anyways, the hardest part of you leaving for 6 months will be jamming to Mumford and Sons in the car and yelling the "Fuck" part extra loud because we are both frustrated with boys. Boys are stupid. The hardest part of you leaving for 6 months will be not being able to sing "the chain" a million times and me always messing up the chords at the end. Someday I shall make no mistakes!! ...who am I kidding, haha:) I'm gunna miss you so much. Sunrise and sunset hikes. Pedicures. Indie rock on pandora. Movie nights. Cooking crappy pancakes. Imagine dragons. Anyways....stay bold and courageous these next few months. Your journey to London will be unforgettable! God will work through your obedience towards Him in mighty and supernatural ways. Keep me updated! Don't replace me! :P I'll be praying for you a lot these next few months!! To God be all the glory.you are gunna have a crazy testimony when you return. Hopefully you'll have a bit of a british accent:) love you so much best friend and seester. 17: Dear Tina. Despite my attempts to sabotage your departure, you are still going to London to find your soul mate, British husband. So, I wish you the best of luck, but don't forget Mitchell the Creeper will always be here! You may be a on the other side of the world but you'll always be right here, in my heart. Without you Tina, I would never have learned to play the guitar. I would never have met the Millsaps. I wouldn't be nearly this emotionally or spiritually secure. Without you Tina everything in my life would be very different. I hope you know how much you have touched my life and the lives around you. So go to London, go touch the lives of the people there. Keep God in your heart and let him shine throw you, like he does now. Make sure to Skype EVERY DAY, 7 TIMES A DAY! Damn I’m gonna’ miss you.
 BON VOYAGE | 8.29.12
Far Off Places Off she goes, leaving to journey afar Going out over the Atlantic, to make the world her backyard She'll be back soon, with a smile on her face As she tells about the wonders of this far away place She'll be back soon, though it will feel like forever She has been my best friend, through every sort of weather But now she turns the page, starting her new chapter No doubt where she goes, she'll bring joy and laughter Light flares out, from every word she speaks Every joke, every nudge, every playful tease Its not all over, she'll be back eventually And for that day, Ill wait restlessly It seems to have happened all of a sudden She's disappeared, gone, to this place called London That basically sums it up, Love you Tina! Sincerely, Mitchell.
My Tina Bear, It's crazy to think that you're about to embark on a journey that will forever change and shape you and your relationship with God and those you meet. God has blessed you with an incredible passion to serve and minister to others and I know He will work through you in ways you can't imagine! If there is a way, ide love to see you over the new year - Paris! I know we both want to go and I would love to share the experience with you. A few tips when traveling: - buy an extra battery for your iPhone/iPod so you can listen to music on the flight - pack a change of clothes to wear (pjs) -bring pillow to sleep with - bring/wear socks (gets cold on plane) - bring snacks to nibble on - bring pads you like (unless you don't care what brand you get) - lots of scarves / wool socks - if you want to see shows/plays you should use your student ID - super cheap! Being in a new country can be a bit overwhelming, but always remember that God won't give you something you can't handle. When ever I have any fears or unrest, I read the below verse. I hope this verse does the same:
Discovering new places. | Matthew 6:25-34 Do Not Worry 25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Love you from the bottom of my heart, Your sister, Traci P.S. send me a post card :)
