Our Story | Brandon and I first met in 2007. My sister insisted I meet Brandon because she thought we would be perfect together. (In all honesty my sister and I usually have different taste) At first we were just friends but later began dating. | In 2008 we adopted the first member of our family. Our sweet puppy Mercedes! She was 8 months old when she first joined our family.
and the story continues.. | 2009 was a big year for us. In March of 2009 Brandon proposed at one of our favorite hang outs during an afternoon picnic with all of our friends. We set the date for later that year! Two days before our wedding we closed on our first home! | We have established our home, career, marriage and community-Now we are ready to add to our family
Church Family | Our Crazy Community Group | Brandon and I are blessed with a wonderful church family. We are both volunteers in the children's ministry and are active in many other areas of our church. Over the past 2 years we have had the opportunity to grow in our faith with a wonderful (yet crazy) Community Group. They are not only a part of our core group of friends but also our support system. Our church has wonderful programs for the entire family. Our pastor would say that we are growing our church the old fashion way: Everyone is having babies! We can't wait for our church to welcome a new playmate!
Mercedes was the first adopted member of our family. She is a pound-puppy who loves to sleep and watch TV. She loves to play with our nieces and nephews and loves to go to the dog park. She is very gentle and loving. | Sweet Puppy

His sister lives less than 3 miles down the street and his niece-Avery and nephew-Grayson, are looking forward to a new playmate! Brandon is very close to his family. They have provided a strong foundation of love and support that he hopes share with our children. One of our favorite things to do is gather at Brandon's grandparents home for family dinner.
Just a few of the many!
Heather has a very large family full of love! The family tree currently reaches 5 generations at family gatherings. There is definitely never a dull moment when they get together. One of her favorite things to do with her family is play board games, card games and we have even been known to throw in some karaoke! Heather's family has tons of little ones that are ready to welcome someone new. Heather's family means the world to her and she is excited to introduce a new child to her big loving family.
Grandparents | Brandon and I have been extremely blessed to have unique and close relationships with our grandparents. They have been one of the most profound influences in our lives. They all have set great examples for our parents and for their grandchildren and great-grandchildren about life, love, and marriage. It is our hope that time allows our grandparents the opportunity to pass these cherished values to our children as well.
We travel, play games, grill and try new restaurants together. | FRIENDS | Brandon and I are extremely blessed to be surrounded by a wonderful group of friends

There are always people walking, biking, and playing. We have a very large fenced back yard perfect for a game of tag or a swing set. Our house has 3 bedrooms. 3 bathrooms, and a large playroom. | HOME
Marriage | Our marriage is faith based and very strong. Our biggest strength is communication. We work together to make decisions and talk about the small stuff as well as the difficult topics. We each bring our own strengths to the relationship: Brandon is a caretaker, protector and provider for our family. Heather is caring, nurturing, a voice of reason and a very giving person.
Brandon and I have known since saying the words "I Do" that we wanted to add to our family. We tried to conceive for a couple of years only to find out that we are unable to have children of our own. While adoption has been a topic in our home from day one, God made his plan for us very clear. We have been very blessed to have supportive friends and family throughout the past few years. Through prayer and support from loved ones (and God's undeniable directions) we made the decision to move forward with the adoption process. We feel it is a privilege that God has chosen us to be adoptive parents and are excited to bring a child into our family.
Parenting | Parenting is something we are excited to experience. We would be fools to say we know what we are in for, but we are ready to take the plunge! We believe there must be a balance between discipline and rewards in the home. We know that each child is unique and as parents we will need to be adaptable. Although we don't pretend to have all the answers, we know that we can offer a home full of love, support and direction. We hope to teach our child God's love and to be respectful, caring and compassionate of others.
Adoption | Brandon and I have had the opportunity to meet with adopted children and adoptive parents for advice and support throughout our adoption process. We also have other adopted members of our family. We believe that talking with our child about adoption through books and other resources at a very young age will help provide a foundation to introduce adoption when it is age appropriate. We would describe you as the most loving, selfless, compassionate mother shown by the choice you are making. We hope to be able to create an avenue of open communication with you at a level that is respectful and meets your level of comfort. Should you choose us to be the adoptive parents of your child, we are committed to keep you updated on your child's growth and progress. We would welcome the opportunity to answer any questions you might have about our family and talk more about your decision.
We are very excited about the possibility of sharing our life with your precious child and hope this book has given you a glimpse of what that life would be like. We want you to know that we plan to offer a home that is a place of love, safety and encouragement. We will always celebrate that you are entrusting us and we will always celebrate you. We pray for your courage and strength in the days ahead and pray for the decision you will make for your child. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. Sincerely, Heather and Brandon
