1: Also called,The Pascaline, did make a big improvement on calculations, only Blaise himself could repair the calculator. | pASCAL'S CACULATOR The year 1642 was basically the beginning of computer history. Blaise Pascal, age 18, invented the first mechanical calculator that was able to calculate addition and subtraction.
2: Joeseph Jaquard Joeseph was a weaver that made clothing. When the British took over the industry from the French, they wanted to make there cloth much faster. The French needed a plan so that they could be more competitive in the industry. That's when Jaquard created a system of boards with holes drilled into them that would travel up and over the loom. | There was a device that would "feel" the board and determine if it had a hole or no hole, then according to that pattern would determine the color of the thread to be woven. This increased the speed of the loom a lot more than normal. Later, France had regained its original strength in the textile industry and Jaquard created the method of communication with a computer- Binary Code
