FC: Celebrating Love, & Friendship with Denine
My Memories Are Many. . . From the tiny baby that brought such joy to the very young woman who had so much to learn about being a mother. She was like a doll that her Nana & Papa and two new aunties all knew was the most beautiful baby ever born. Her Grandma Tupin knew she would be the baby that would replace the Gerber Baby on every jar of baby food. To the five year old who started school and after the first day, told her mother she no longer wanted her to walk her to school, and she didn't want to be called Dee Dee anymore, her name was Denine (She did compromise and let us call her Dee). Through the years she has brought so much love and joy to our family. "When I remember the joy and love I felt that December day when Denine was born, I had no idea the love a mother had for her child. But through every age, through every stage, as she grew into adulthood that love grew. No words can describe the warm memories, the pride, and the gratitude that comes from having a daughter, to love and cherish...just like Denine." | a note from Mom

a memory from Lavonda | When I was pregnant with Daylene, Dee was about 3. One evening we were visiting Mel and Farrell. Denine was sitting on my lap and she kept looking at my mouth. She finally asked me to open my mouth and started looking into it. Her Mother asked her what she was doing. Dee said she wanted to see Aunt Lavonda's baby.

a note from Sue | Denine, Happy 50th Birthday to my BFF! You are truly my best friend and I treasure our friendship. You've been a friend for all seasons...You're always there for me - to cry and pray with during the difficult, trying, and sad times, and then, to laugh with until we cry during the great times! We have really shared some great times together - from vacations with our hubbies and those with our families (and all the crazy stories that go along with those!), to our vacation in Hawaii, and all of our T.V. show adventures, Disneyland, Angels and Ducks games, weekends of Scrapbooking in the mountains and at home, our thrifty shopping adventures, showers, weddings, and our calm and quiet conversations over a cup of coffee. We have truly been blessed with a lot of memories! You, my friend, are a precious gift from the Lord! I love you and look forward to all the future moments we'll share and be able to scrap...should we live that long!!! (Since you are only on 1997, is it??) Thanks for being my friend!! I hope your birthday is amazing!
Dear Denine~ I first met you when you were 5 yrs old. Such a shy 'lil blonde haired cutie! I remember blowing bubbles with my bubble gum to get you & Tim smiling. It worked! I didn't know back then what great friends we would become. We've been through so much together - we worked together & played together. From being your babysitter to teaching you how to TP, to watching you mature and get one of your first jobs at Nationwide Insurance and then later down thru the years a job with me at Colonial Penn Insurance. I sang at your wedding to Tom ~ such a privilege and joy! You've been my friend and supporter down thru the years. So many changes in our lives but yet our friendship has remained unchanged thru 45 years! I have been blessed to call you my friend and to be a part of your life. You are a strong, beautiful, amazing woman, I pray the Lord continues to bless you and bless our friendship for many, many more years!!

a note from Kathi | I met you in the summer of 1979 in Huntington Beach. I was 15, just got my first pair of high heels and my first Farrah Fawcet haircut (at least that's what it was supposed to be!) I remember seeing you at summer camp and wondering what it would be like to be the fun, cute, popular girl :) I soon found out that you were nice too totally unfair! We had some fun adventures at that summer camp as the picture shows and then went our separate ways. Fast forward 30 years later and we were reintroduced. I knew immediately you were still the beautiful, exceptionally nice girl I met 30 years earlier. I enjoyed our marathon talk at TGIF’s; the phone calls and texts that offered support and love; the laughter over tiny books ordered from Amazon and many other funny memories. You are a wonderful person and a terrific mom. You have a gentle, kind, and humble spirit. Thank you for accepting my daughters and me. You have made me feel like we have been friends/family for a very long time and I believe in Spirit we have :) Happy Birthday Dee! Love, Kathi

a note from Suzette | My Dear Friend Denine, What an honor it is to be able to share this special day with you. It is so hard for me to believe that today is your 50th birthday! Not that I think that is old, because I don't, but in my mind I still see us as teenagers, teenagers with more sense, but teenagers none the less. As I think back over my life and think about what has been really important there have been only a few events, the most important of which was the day I accepted Jesus as my Savior. That is the day that I met you. It was August of 1980, at Summer Camp in San Juan Capistrano, and I was meeting many of the kids from the youth group for the very first time. I will never forget how nice you were to me, you were so welcoming to the “new girl” and from the moment you asked me my name we were friends. You played a large part in making me feel accepted and comfortable enough to allow that life changing transformation to take place. That day is forever stamped in my mind, and in my heart we are forever bonded because of it. Since that time we have shared so many fun times and experiences! Through the drama of dating, the joy of finding true love and marriage, children, and family life, you have been a great friend through it all. I treasure the time we spend together, even though we don't get to see each other as often as I would like, I know you are always there with a fun story, encouraging word, and prayer when needed. Denine, you truly are a special friend and I can't imagine my life without you in it. I pray that God blesses you, as His word says, beyond anything you could ever hope for or imagine. I pray that all your dreams come true, and that every day brings you joy and fulfillment. Have a wonderful birthday; I hope you feel celebrated today, because you are such a wonderful friend! Much love to you, Suzette
