46: Jackie’s Toast So, finally, Sunday, December twenty-seventh is here. The reason we are all gathered is very clear. My sister, beautiful as can be, has found the love of her life. Today, she has become Drew’s wonderful wife. This day has been carefully planned inside and out, And I’m positive Diana and Drew have not one doubt. The past five months flew by too fast, But I’ve done all I can to make the memories last. Between the shower, the baking, and shopping, too There was always one more thing someone could do. I have so many different emotions about this day, There is no way to explain them with anything I say. Soon my sister will have a different last name than me, And to her house she will have her own set of keys. It won’t be the same which makes it sad, But the more I think, I know it is not so bad. After she met Drew, I saw her smile like never before, And he always knows how to make her laugh more and more. I could tell he cared about my family as well, He even made it past all the jokes my Dad had to tell. Drew, you truly feel like my big brother, And I would never wish for any one other. You two fit together like a wink and a smile, And neither of you can last being apart for a long while. I’m so happy for the both of you today, I don’t know how to say it any other way. Keep God first and let Him guide you, Through the thick and thin, old and new. I love you two with every part of my heart, And I hope I will stay in your lives as a big part. Drew take good care of my sister, she belongs to you now. You promised her honesty, loyalty, and support with your vow. Diana, you will forever by my oldest sister, who set the trend, And you will always be my very best friend. You are beautiful, loving, caring, and true, Diana, you helped me through so much when I had no clue. May God bless you as you are now together as one. Relax, and be sure to make time for fun! Diana and Drew, I really love you. And I will forever look up to you two.
