BC: It doesn't matter where you go in life or what you do... it's who you have beside you. I'm so thankful to have you.

FC: 2011

Our year of excitement and adventure.

 Happy Birthday Amy!!!!

My 23rd Birthday was amazing! I woke up to a breakfast menu and had it served to me in bed. Then we left for an amazing night in Temecula. Loved our room, the wine tour, and downtown antique shopping.

 "Little Girls are Heaven's Flowers"

 Our Valentine's Day Party

 Our first Camping Trip!!

 Freeman Roose Simila

 Roughin' it

Steve's Power Hour Birthday Party! He said all he wanted for his birthday was for me to play power hour with him. It was so much fun & we had a great time with Brit and Garth.

As always, Steve enjoyed a big home cooked breakfast. He opened gifts, then we rode bikes down to Cest Si Bon for some sandwiches and took them for a picnic on the bay. Great day to be out!

A family is pieced together with hope and faith. A family is quilted and bound with love and grace.

Showering Sarah and baby Charlie with love.

Nature Day We played hookie and enjoyed a nice day hiking.

Happy Easter!! Steve spent half the morning on a scavenger hunt. I made my first quiche and it was delicious. Then we went to Feldmanns and had dinner and peepatinis.

Wow! What an experience. The weather was not great so we headed inland instead of the coastal trip we had planned. The airplane was so small and light that even the smallest gust of wind shifted us around. Little scary at some points but it was very fun.

Knowing you will be with me in all my tomorrows, makes my today so wonderful.

On the final night of our 3 days off together, we went to Beachcomber for dinner and a sunset. Crazy to believe a year and a half passed since he proposed there.

Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink the wild air. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

For this season of life, Wednesday is Steve's only day off. We try to make the most of it and have "Adventure Wednesdays " together. Today we took the scenic route up the coast and explored Hermosa, Redondo and Manhattan Beach. We discovered Grandma is famous in Rancho Palos Verdes and we also touched starfish at the aquarium.

Our first time meeting Kinsley London Fieck in person. We video chatted with her lots while we were in Europe, but couldn't wait to get home and see her!!

A baby is God's opinion that the world should go on. Carl Sandburg

Going on a hot air balloon ride was on our goal list for this year. This was one of the most magical and memorable days of my life.

Maybe getting up at 3AM wasn't that fun, but watching the sun rise from above made it so worth it.

We got to walk inside the balloon while it was blowing up.

Home of the: cheese, culvers, jellystone, noah's ark, rocky's pizza and the Roose family. | WISCONSIN

I felt so special when we pulled up to Mark & Lisa's for dinner and saw this sign outside. They all planned a "welcome to the family" party with friends and family.

Wollersheim Winery was an amazing adventure. We went on the best tour and then tried some amazing wine. We liked it so much we had a case shipped home.

Fireside Fun | There is nothing better than sitting around with your loved ones and enjoying the night sky with each other. | Family

“I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I'm going is what inspires me to travel it.” ~Rosalia de Castro

 Peter and Courtney October 21

This was such an awesome day in Wyoming. We woke up early the day after Peter and Courtney's wedding and drove to Yellowstone. We saw some beautiful scenery and had so much fun. That evening we came back to the hotel and each enjoyed an 80 minute massage.

Our first big Turkey day was a success. We had so much fun and were happy to have family to spend this day with.

Holiday Memories Warm Even The Coldest Of Days

A Season of Love and Laughter

This was the first year we stayed home for Christmas. It was also the first year we had a Christmas tree. It was so exciting to get one. We search about 8 lots before we found Sierra. That is what we named her and she couldn't have been a more perfect tree.

Unfortunately being pregnant had hit me with full forces by the time Christmas was here and I spent most of the day hugging the toilet and the whole day after in the Emergency Room. It was memorable though.

We accomplished a goal of walking around the Back Bay (12 miles). Enjoyed going to a Halloween mustache party, 2nd row seats at the blue man group and dancing with Ellen DeGeneres. Steve received his first paycheck for leasing a waterfront home and we took our yoga skills to a new level.

We had so much fun this year. There were definitely challenges with new jobs and such but we still had a blast. We had many adventures and memories. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we found out we were having a baby! That topped it off and made this our best year yet! I know we said that last year too but I have a funny feeling with the arrival of our little one thats going to be the recurring theme of each year.
