42: Ed & Denise, there will never be a day without your love for each other. You have just sealed your relationship by giving & receiving of rings. You are committing here today to share the rest of your lives with one another. Today, this relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these three individual containers of sand into a fourth one. One, representing you, Ed; and all you were, are and will be. One, representing you, Denise; and all you were, are and will be. The third one represents Christ, all that He is and will forever be. Each grain of sand brings to the mixture a lasting beauty that forever enriches the combination. Each grain of sand in their separate containers represents a unique and separate moment, decision, feeling or event that helped shape Ed and Denise in the separate and unique individuals that they are today. | When you pour the sand into this common vessel, it symbolizes the union of your two lives with Christ. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual vessels - so will your marriage be a molding of two individual personalities, bonded together forming one heart, one love. The life that each of you experienced up to now, individually, will hereafter be an inseparable unit, for the two shall become one. This layer represents Christ who is and always will be the foundation of your marriage. Ed & Denise, now pour your remaining sand into the container together to represent the joining of your two individual lives into this union of marriage. | Unity Sand
